Cool! Any casting info out yet? Will be interesting, and no doubt controversial, to see who they get to play Sam Vimes biggrin

Probably my favourite aspect of his books. Bring on Nobby De Nob.

I think that's the hardest part to cast

Dead easy, get Andy Serkis to do it in mo-cap.

Jason Isaacs for Sam Vimes please.

Doubt they'd wanna spend that cash for a tv prog. Andy seems good for it though if it was a VO.

Ive pretty much modelled my entire working life and career on Sam Vimes.

There ARE a line of dents in the whiteboards on our walls in the conference room that my Boss uses to judge how pissed off I am.

Isaacs would be more suited as Vetinary, surely. I think Terry imagined Vimes as resembling Pete Postlethwaite.

I would go with that. Vimes that is.

Vetinary has a few good actors around that could play him. Ian Richardson would have been good but hey ho.

Dammit! I'm going to end up hung up by the thumbs in a dungeon, aren't I? Reading a sign that says LEARN THE WORDS.

Besides, I will point out that it's Veterinary, not Vetinary, when referring to the profession.

I believe "thumbs" should be replaced with "unmentionables", might be more in keeping..... paperbag
