Hi all.

I've just put a deposit on a little used 420R and hope to collect it before Xmas.
This will be my 4th Caterham.
I sold my last one 10 years ago as I just never had time to drive it. Hoping for fun times in this one.

Cheers
Malcolm

Congratulations.

Awful time of year to get one as I have just done the same, I'll be spending at least 2 months looking at it and fiddling now!

Congrats op, a 200bhp torquey Duratec combined with cold and damp roads should be a good recipe for an ear to ear grin!

What we're your previous 7s out of interest?

My first was a Q reg 1700 crossflow - red & Ali. Q280 RDM called Arthur!
2nd was a 1800 vvc Orange one.
3rd was a VX sprint.
Had other fast cars in this time. Evo 6 - Evo 7 - M3 - Golf R
Then a skoda superb! Had a Honda VFR750 for a short while.
MX5 Mk3 as my daily driver at the moment.

Of the Caterhams, the VVC one.
Of the others - 100% the Golf R - so fast across country.

My daily is a Golf R too, DSG revo mapped one, I love it for its ease of use but apart from the silly acceleration that's so effortless its dull...………..hence my Caterham is a 620S

I too have a Golf R, with DSG, dull is a good word for it, far too competent, uninvolving somehow, which is something you can never say about 7s.

2 sleeps to go.
I have borrowed a trailer from a friend's friend to bring the car back home.

I always name my cars and this one is called 'Dotty'.
I took her for a quick spin this afternoon - still running in but it is fantastic to have a caterham again.
So quick!
