He's nattering away in the leaked thing.

This will without a doubt be the world's most pirated piece of video especially if Disney don't launch their service everywhere at once. I haven't seen any mention of it at all for UK punters.
Didn't know this thread existed. Official launch yesterday. UK TBC. Which will pee a lot of people off if they cannot avoid spoilers and reviews. I like what Disney are doing with the content but the delay is a concern.
US, Canada, Netherlands (??) Australia and New Zealand first.

Already tied up with licenced content in the UK?

Didn't even know it was out. THere's so much happening that there's only really time to take notice of stuff I'm looking forward to (which is MCu pretty much).

They said these shows won't be shown anywhere else but Disney Plus. They'll be chucking away plenty of money. They must have their reasons. No idea what they'd be.

The European Parliament is to blame for Disney+ not launching in the UK at the same time as in America.

Another good reason for Brexit

There are a few videos on youtube about this from "Geeks and Gamers". Mandalorian among the other stuff it does will also look at the rise of the First Order apparently.

However, the more worrying tit-bit is that Giancalro Esposito has mentioned that the show will also carry a political message.......so that's this series fked then. They can't just tell a good story without some underlying message.

When all we want as fans are good stories set in the SW universe.

Oh joy... so Stormtroopers in red helmets with MAGA written on them I guess? Or a small planet called Britannia trying to leave the evil Empire?

Dunno if it's true or not but I've read that George Lucas gets extra royalties for anything pre Disney Star Wars which would certainly inspire them to pretend none of it happened.

A few of the Midnight Edge videos reference this, I an see it having a kernel of truth somewhere. It also explains the subtle changes to legacy products; C3p0, the Falcon etc. if there's 25% change, then the change is sufficient to deny royalties...apparently.
The EA video just sort of referenced how Boba isn't a real Mandarlorian, I just hope they leave legacy characters alone...if I watch it..if it's any good... biggrin

Just watched the first episode, reasonable "twist", overall enjoyable and action packed, now looking forward to the rest. Slight spoiler below.

Very Disney at the end with great big eyes, there were also hints of Michaelangelo's The Creation of Adam, thought this was a bit uneven with the overall tone of a ruthless bounty hunter, despite giving the viewer some compassionate background hints re: the titular character.

Excellent CGI and a tremendous diversity in aliens (as ever), but a dull story with a less than jaw dropping ending.

I do like the Star Wars universe and find it more believable than many other Sci-Fi films/shows. However, only 5 out of 10 from me (and that's mainly for the 'bounty droid').

I'm not sure I'll bother with any more.

Oh blimey. I was looking forward to this next year, even willing to pay Disney.

Not another over hyped Star Wars story?

The review I saw they didn't rate it well. But I usually find if the critic hates it I will probably love it.

I thought it was pretty limp and the music was awful, but boy did it look beautiful at times. Too early to judge of course but it felt a little... inconsequential so far.

It wasn't a spectacular start but I thought it was pretty solid overall.
Looked amazing, liked the bounty droid and proper storm troopers.

Is Pedro Pascal actually in the suit for any of the scenes or is he just doing voicework? Because, sheesh, the characters movements look so wooden.
