Sports personality of the year tonight, who do we reckon might win?

Lewis Hamilton should be in it but really don't think he's that popular to win it.

Ryder cup team for team of the year probably.

Golden Boot winner at the last World Cup. Quite an achievement.

Personally I'd like to see Lewis win it but too many bitter and twisted people around for that to happen.

Fury not even in the running. I think a lot of people will be surprised by that; I was. But then I suppose he didn't actually win the fight.

Has to be............

G.

The worlds most unassuming sports superstar.

He has given all in the service of others.

Tour highlights.. Rode with a broken pelvis.....

Crashed into a telegraph pole, got back on, finished. Told a joke and the worried about breaking his glasses...... classic.

I’m a footie fan (even though I support West Ham laugh) and think that Harry Kane is a very good player but I genuinely can’t understand why he is in the running, let alone one of the favourites. Fair enough, he won the Golden Boot but from memory, half his goals were penalties and one of the other flicked off his boot? Also, he isn’t exactly what you’d call charismatic, is he? It’s the Sports Personality award - he’s be the worst winner since, oh I don’t know, Ryan Giggs laugh

Don’t know enough about Geraint Thomas to comment on whether he has a personality or not but winning the TdF is a bloody fantastic achievement - a bit better than scoring one more goal than anyone else in a World Cup IMO.

As for Lewis Hamilton, you might not like him and he certainly divides opinion but there’s no getting away from the fact that the majority of people in the country will be at least aware of him, irrespective of whether you follow F1 or not. And you can’t really sniff at his achievements either.

I’d take any of them over Harry Kane to be honest - I just don’t think he’s done enough to deserve it.

Hamilton for me but as he's unliked for his daft fashion sense, living abroad and only paying the taxes he's due and folks appear to forget that he's the best driver of his generation that has excelled at every level of motorsport he's been involved in.

It will probably go to Harold Kane or the cyclist fella that might actually be the only non-asthmatic to win the TdF.
