Does anyone know what's with the twisting of the guns. When he's buying all the guns the rifle and hand guns he holds, the twists to the side. Anything in that or is it all for show?
Irrc the ar had a high magnification sight, it probably had a red dot sight mounted at 45 for close quarters.

With the pistol there is a system called center axis relock

But it’s probably just for show

For those who are interested in the firearms side of things on John Wick a lot of the actual combat and CQB comes from Kenny Sheard (SEAL) and he has worked on a lot of other military related movies.

His latest film is 12 Strong, again if you are into that kind of thing.

I like modern war films, had a thread running about it a while back. 12 strong definitley looks like it's up my strasse.

John Wick is the only film I've seen where unlimited ammo isn't used. He makes a point of reloading.

As I understand it's to do with close combat with firearms/confined space - it reduces your arm's length when held in close, but retains control

Being chased by motorbikes while on a horse on Tarmac eh? I hope the bikes cant go faster than 40mph or it will be a very short chase.

I have not seen the film but rotating a rifle 45 deg, specifically an AR style rifle, is usually to do a visual chamber / bolt check. You are looking for either out of battery (bolt locked back with empty magazine) or a malfunction of some kind. On an AR you can only see the bolt and ejection port by rotating the rifle its not easily visible otherwise.

Some people also check the bolt is fully forward (in battery) by doing the same thing, after a reload.
