Got my ticket for 5.30pm tomorrow and watched chapter 2 the other day again as a catch up
Got really good reviews
I'm on Friday evening, looking forward to it so no more visiting this thread until watched!Got really good reviews
I'm expecting it to be a bit worse than 2 which was not as good as 1.
Will report back....
So I’ve seen it.
Better than the second, not as good as the first.
Lots of well staged action, but a little too much by the end.
I can see this franchise running and running. It could well be the next fast and furious, but they would need to tone down the violence.... actually scrap that it definitely won’t be the next fast and furious.
Fans of the prisoner will be happy with the reoccurring nod to the series.
Be seeing you..

Watched it this evening and enjoyed it. Quite violent as expected and lots of fight scenes. Sooo many people die, mainly by being shot in the face or stabbed in the head - and that ongoing method made me chuckle a bit.
Sidenote, I went to the late night showing and shared the cinema with about 40 others which I thought was ok, if not a little more than I thought might be there.
Group of lads a few rows in front were scoffing something which smelled suspiciously like Chinese takeaway - they wouldn't have smuggled that in, would they...?

Don't know what to make of it really.
Good bits:
Dogs - every scene with a dog in was cool. Dogs that fight in body armour are cool. My other half loves dogs and this was here favourite bit!
Choreography/fight editing - superb as expect. Had people doing everything from "ohh" and "ahh" to "yuk" and "laughing" - the early fights really do show a ton of work goes into keeping it fresh.
Lance Riddick - I just like anything he does. Oddly, looks the same age as when he was in the Wire???
Less Good - It's impossible for the fights not to drag on by the end. The best food in the world gets boring after the 1000th serving. Doesn't make it bad food....just a lot of it!
Plot - felt like the bits in a video game between the bits you actually play where they try to build a story while you hit all the buttons to try and get back to the game.
World Building - as above. It felt oddly a bit overly concerned with building this aspect and it felt out of place when considered next to the very small world that started in (John, his Mrs, the dog, his car) It was like Signs (one family alone) suddenly turning into Independence Day (whole world rallying each other)
Ending - Clear what they are doing but it was so blatant it felt like we had gone nowhere and ended up back at the start.
In summary.....6.7/10 (9/10 if Halle's dog's had been in it more and Lance had got to shoot more people)

i liked it... good action “bloke” film ... obviously not as good as part 1...
wife kept saying the obvious ...
i kept saying “it’s a film - go with it”...
why didn’t he wear a disguise ? or even change his suit ?
horses 🐎 don’t do that etc etc etc ...
agree with the fight scenes .... but i still enjoyed the film
bring on part 4...

Watched it last night. 1remains a really enjoyable film, 2 and 3 less so.
The fight scenes are brilliantly choreographed and relentless, but the violence is very Tom and Jerry.
There are genuine LOL moments all through the film, and the dogs are just brilliant. But unlike the 1st film, there’s no real plot to hang everything together... the middle section doesn’t feel connected to the rest of the film, and is only saved by the dogs (did I say the dogs are brilliant!).
