I had this plate already made from a previous car, so I stuck it on. I’ve never been pulled or anything but the RR is due an mot soon and I’ll probably ask the test station first but as I’m here I’ll canvas opinion.
Will it pass? (Front has a space between 10 and M as I had it remade as cracked removing from Infinity)

No it shouldn't pass the MOT.

I believe that should be a fail, but depending on how dodgy/incompetent the MoT centre is it may well be overlooked.

As above, should fail as incorrectly spaced.

But they could claim the plate was put on after the MOT...

I use my local Kwik Fit for MOT`s as its so convenient, I`ll bob down to Halfords (with V5 and license) and get a new one done.

Shouldn't pass an MOT nor a good taste test.

If that plate was produced by Infinity as the tag on the bottom suggests, they’ve been a bit silly IMO.

The rules about spacing of numberplates are so clear, anyone who thinks the rules don’t apply to them, should face a more robust penalty system In my opinion.

Lots of bits of the automotive construction and use regulations are very clear and regularly flouted. In this particular case whilst I certainly wouldn't do it myself I don't really see the harm - it's still clearly legible.

When I bought my FX50 they (infinity hull) put the plates on spaced as pictured, as it was under 3 years the mot wasn’t an issue and until the RR arrived it hadn’t been on a car, I’ll get it sorted before the Mot.
Definition of a crappy plate is altered lettering using bolts, seriously mispaced letters or numbers or dubious font that ANPR coujd notvread. None of those present here.

The characters are clearly mis-spaced. You’ve created a thread about it.

It shouldn’t pass an MOT as others have said.

I’m surprised a main dealer has produced a plate that does not conform to the relevant standards, on a plate which carries their details.

But hey, easily sorted with a trip to Halfords.

1) it's a cracking plate, regardless of spacing.

2) of course they did if you asked for it, they're not on the hook for a fine if you're stopped!

The plate would look just as good spaced correctly anyway imo... i don't bother messing around with mine, did you buy it direct from the DVLA auction in June 2010 for £6400 + VAT Etc.?

£20 for some plates to get you through would have been easier than what this thread will turn in to.
