Dose anyone know the cost of the limited edition TAG HEUER DBS ? Is there a power hike or as the standard DBS ?
Graham hi, sorry I don't have any official answer to your question. It would be my guess that there will be no power upgrade. I base my assumption on the knowledge that the DBS '59 limited edition has no power increase, the difference to the standard DBS Superleggera being cosmetic only.Having driven the 'standard' DBS Superleggera only yesterday, IMHO, it already has phenomenal power, correctly described by many of the well known review bods as "insane". Any more grunt out of the loud pedal and it would be truly "lethal".
Don't think a price has been announced yet, I'd expect a hefty premium, but the reports state it's the standard engine/spec underneath all the 'Q' TAG badges/spec, but you do get a watch.

Aside from the Pirelli Colour Edition tyres (they're not really my thing on a road car), it's quite nice I think. I had the chance to see one up close a few weeks ago. Monaco Black is a bit like Storm Black, with a slightly finer red fleck, it's subtle but a very classy colour.
I'd agree it's a bit early in the life cycle to get into the limited editions, I'd have expected a Vantage limited run car to come out before the DBSS had one, but I'd have one in a heart beat.

Agree - think the DBSS looks very stealthy . Don't know why but think the branding would work better on a Volante .I'd agree it's a bit early in the life cycle to get into the limited editions, I'd have expected a Vantage limited run car to come out before the DBSS had one, but I'd have one in a heart beat.

Is the watch Quartz?
You'd hope not, I'd guess at something like this...https://www.tagheuer.com/en-gb/watches/tag-heuer-c...

That's the one. You get one with the car, and I have no clue why they've specced the car as black and red when the watch is black and white.https://www.tagheuer.com/en-gb/watches/tag-heuer-c...
Particularly when the car looks so nasty as a result.
It all just seems like a marketing team have written a load of words associated with both brands on the wall and chucked a dart at them.
'Monaco' Black...really, when you think of Monaco do you think 'black', the classic Monaco watch dial colour would be a blue, and when thinking of the Principality do you instantly think 'black'....probably not.
Then you get a 'free' watch, is that a Monaco, no it's a Carrera.
Pirelli colour edition tyres are the 'special' that just keep giving, huge price premium and lead time when you want to replace them when they wear out and no performance advantage.
If there was an analogue clock on the dash that could be TAG, but I don't think there is, for me it doesn't really go far enough with the 'Q' bits, but then I'm about a factor of 10 shy of any guess at the price so I can't see anyone in marketing worrying about my thoughts.

Hi i can try to answer some of the questions raised
silverspeed- same as standard DBS, just teh norman phenomenal 715 bhp
raceboy- think all sold
scampbird - actually looks a whole lot better in real life - id have never configured one, in fact i dont think its available on the configurator but seeing one...
Big Ry - i spent weeks trying to configure DBS, liked metallic black, carbonfibre roof, strakes, grilles, machined carbon fibre badges, carbon sill plates, lightweight black wheels, quilted interior etc, ( maybe im too younge to be an aston martin owner!) and whichever way Iconfigured it can out over 260- tag is slightly more -- slightly
buster 73 - edition was released practically at launch 50 only all sold, its just that it was not publicised, only apparent now as DBS deliveries are starting and can be seen in dealershowrooms enroute to their lucky owners
NFC 85 Vettte, - agree with you would not generally select color tyres , but they do look different and add some colour to the metallic black, and pick up on the Tag coloured highlights - tyre and wheel insurance probably useful!
BobaJob - no automatic
Doofus - not quite the one , the watch supplied with car is all black , carbon wibre ( real ) lugs and bezel- only available with car
raceboy, - think when the time comes I'll replace tyres with non-colour
hope that helps

What the connection between the 'special' and TAG? TAG Hueur's logo is green & red so one would have thought a green car with red tyres would be more appropriate?
At give or take £300K and all but sold out, they appear to be enjoying considerable popularity Rich. I'll stick my neck out and suggest perhaps not so many buyers are 60yrs +. Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
