An old Hero in a retirement home? Has been done. Very absurdly. I like it: https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0281686/

Looking forward to the new Picard series but almost sure that the anticipation is higher than whatever they will manage to crank out. Last trailer is fairly epic though.

As someone on The Verge commented,

At last, the Firefly sequel we've been waiting for!

Couldn't care less, was watching Serenity last night for the nth time...

Well, that was an amazing teaser. if the whole thing is like that it will be perfect.

Have to admit to a nostalgic lump in the throat too watching it.

As well as Jeri Ryan and Brent Spiner reprising their roles as 7 and Data, Jonathan Frakes and Marina Sirtis are coming back as Riker and Troi.

The trailer is absolutely perfect.

Can’t imagine Data coming in unless they do some spectacular CGI/make-up!
Brent could do it with a spot of after-effect Deepfake work on the face, easier than most.
Looks like they did!

Highlight for me was 7 of 9 and the opportunity to see how far she’s come, amazing

Apparently Hugh (the borg) is also back

Agree on the sentiments of the trailer!

Crap.

Amazon might finally have something good enough to make me pay for Prime.

It’s faintly ridiculous that Picard is on Prime but Discovery is on Netflix...

That's only 16 years, he says "nearly 2 decades ago" at the start. Could 16 years be his idea of nearly 2 decades?

2 decades ago refer to the events in Star Trek Nemesis, not the events in this picture.

Oh yes he's talking about Data in that clip, I only did it to hear the years again. but it was on the earlier trailer that they mention that Picard led them out of the darkness "15 years ago" https://youtu.be/VcMHHpu2ryQ?t=5 and "then the unimaginable happened"

That is what I was trying to piece together.

Interesting to note that Picard's cannon birth year is 2305, and this is set in 2399, meaning he’s 93/94 years old in this series. Although it seems living well into the 100’s is normal for a human in the 24th Century.

Never been so glad to have Prime!

They must have asked a lot of my clones what I want in a new Star Trek series. The answer was simple; 'All the old cast back please.'

Make it so.
