He's only a little fella isn't he!
:-)

I turned the sound off and watched the 4x4 thing on mute. Rubbish.
It's Sunday night and there's nowt on tv but honestly I've got no interest if it's like that every week.

I enjoyed it. It's a sham MLB is leaving at the end, he's pretty good with Harris. Poor Rory seems to have left already, looking at the preview in the magazine I don't think he's driving anything interesting this year. TG has seperated itself from CHM now, the presenters have their own style instead of having The Angry One, The Boring One and The Stupid One. It also helps that they have presenters who are still capable of walking short distances without running out of breath and standing up without leaning on things.

I thought it was ok, I like Rory shame they dropped him from the main show after this, MLB is funny and CH can drive.

Love the GTC and Turismo as well.

I completely forgot it was on and watched Star Wars instead. Great piece of info, I know.
But I find it's a shame that I wasn't sitting by the remote tapping my fingers ready to switch the TV over to the right channel.

I enjoy Matt Le Blanc and Rory.

Chris Harris - very knowledgeable and a good driver but overdoes the angry geek thing. Isn't likeable with it. Reminds me of most of the IT workers I know.

Can't say I'm looking forward to Flintoff or Paddy whatshisface joining (unless by some miracle they know what they're talking about).

Never bothered with it since Clarkson and co were booted off air.
yet post on a thread about it...
Always a good idea to check new accounts posting history / profile before you reply.

Have a look at the dieselboy profile / post history since they joined about a month ago. It's clearly a bored or banned returning PH'er on a "let's see who bites" account.

Im lost on how many series there have been since clarkson. This is the first time ive watched it since clarkson hasnt been on it. Ive watched one series of the Grand tour, and never bothered again. TG is Pretty dull. Maybe im getting old and cant be arsed with it. I watch very little tv now. Finding other things to do.
Rory is drab. Chris H is too loud and appears fake. Matt is good.
I think the BBC will end up putting this to bed, it never will be the same without clarkson as part of the attraction of the show was his humour/style etc.

^^^This. Why do so many grown up people/presenters think to make something seem good you have to scream and shout??!!

It was ok though. That Fezza!!
Both cars were 66 plates. I wonder if this was an old recording?

I didn't think Sabine was due to feature much this series?
Nothing to suggest she will feature much. She's been in one segment of the first show. That doesn't mean she'll be in much, or indeed, any more.

What do you think the reason is we are getting numerous new members who follow all the exact same threads, offer all the exact same opinions and clearly know about old threads?

I quite enjoyed the Norway section. All the rest was instantly forgettable.

Far more enjoyable than any episode of the Grand Tour I have yet seen IMO.

Hmm,, curate's egg I thought . Norway stuff was a combination of stunning scenery but really lame 'plot'. I am allergic to most off road stuff anyway but found both cars curiously appealing. but God above I really could without that screaming harpie The 'So- now we are the big fun having Rory , ja ?' schtick is deeply tiresome .

MLB excellent, and I enjoy the SIARFC bit as it's half serious. Rory is lightweight and Chris is fine but you can see the wheels turning as he needs to work to maintain teh angry geek persona .

But hey , it isn't aimed at me - it's for people who only think they like cars

BBC obviously told him he needed to fit that role. He isnt like that outside of Top Gear. Its a bit awkward to watch I agree, but his bank account probably doesnt care hehe

I gave up watching the Clarkson/Hammond/May Top Gear probably midway through the second last series. I think it was when they tied two cars together to illustrate God knows what stupid idea.

I love cars. And it just got right on my thrupennys seeing millionaires deliberately destroying cars for no good reason. Millionaires when many many people in pre-Brexit land would give their eye teeth for a new car.

Now we have Monkey and Gerry-bird wilfully damaging a brand new Panda and Ignis to illustrate what exactly?

Stop damaging cars for no good reason you utter tards.

When the presenters of a TV Show are having more fun than the viewers, something has gone far wrong.

It’s not big. It’s not clever. And you presenters/producers/editors are a bunch of tards.

I’m out.
I really hope that you got some names confused with that statement!

Seems to me that Harris is starting to channel May ('fun' facts) and MLB Clarkson (powwwwwwwer!) - enjoyed it though. WRT to Sabine's presenting style - it's a global programme possibly that goes down better in some markets?

Can't actually believe in 2019 people still use that racist language.

Anyway, the Rory and Sabine segment was a bit of light hearted, easy watching nonsense which illustrated these types of cars are actually fairly capable off road. The Norway piece was ace, great scenery, great cars and with a glorious V12 coming out of the TV.

I'm still confused over exactly what folks want from Top Gear. I enjoyed it and am glad it's still going.

Perhaps benefit of the doubt he meant Harris as that’s his nickname and he got confused.

While I enjoy TG this part really made me think WTF. I seen the 66 plates and though the same about why using cars that are 3 years old. Plus the shouting got on m y tits
The first time I have really not enjoyed a section of the show

Ah, yep you could be right. Harris wasn't in the Ignis/Panda piece though, Rory was. So either he didn't actually watch the episode or he is using that tired slur that I thought was in the past.

God, it was woeful last night.
Im sure the last series was getting better towards the end, at the same time as Grand Tour was mostly crap.

But this season on the whole we are really enjoying Grand Tour, and Top Gear seems to have just given up the ghost. Last night was basically just 3 things - the Norway drive (which had a bit of nice drifting and some lovely V12 sounds) but otherwise cringey "bantz", the Rory & Sabine section (im surprised he can even muster the enthusiasm to turn up to work), and the c-list celeb section which was poor even by their standards.

So, what was your first car?
It was a Pontiac
Cool! So what was your second car?
It was a Honda.
Cool! So what was your third car?
It was another Honda....
(yawn)

This seems a pretty fair review

I did not know who the guest was and I have enjoyed the TGT with no guests
