Only watched the Lambo STO test on iPlayer and skipped the caravan guff.
I did the opposite. Not sure which of us wins VBH.
I saw a trailer for the next episode of the grand tour today. I am looking forward to it in the same way as I do a rectal examination - if I’m lucky I’ll get the young fit trainee female junior doctor with slim fingers who smells nice. Or I will get an ex-rugby playing beast with sausage fingers. If I’m really really lucky I get the fit female junior doctor who will also give me a reach around at the same time.
With new Top Gear I’m getting either the ex-rugby player or Sir Jimmy Savile.

I’d agree with others here, I’d have liked to see full size caravans being towed. Maybe have them drive 100 miles to pick it up, then charge again and try and drive 100 miles back and see what happens. I’d rather Harris had kept his trailer on and let the Audi run out of juice than cheat the challenge too. Paddy is abit OTT for my liking, but generally I like the new 3 and the last series had some great episodes.

Did they not state that all 3 cars were fully charged the previous day? So none of them could manage the 100 mile journey while towing small caravans/trailer. If Harris kept his trailer on he would simply have stopped at the side of the road the same as the other two. At least they added a little humour by having him ditch the trailer. They demonstrated they these EV’s are simply not up to the job of towing. Using larger caravans would only bring them to the same conclusion earlier.
I'm pretty sure that the reason they used micro caravans and a trailer tent is because (in general) most EV cars simply can't tow a regular caravan as their towing limits are so low. Usually towing limits are simply weight/stuctural calcs for a given vehicle and ordinary ice cars can generally tow up to and beyond their own weight, sometimes much more. With EV's there are many other considerations that come into play. They can't tow, basically.

In addition, why would anyone witrh a car that stupidly expensive, be slumming it in a caravan, let alone a micro caravan.LuS1fer said:

That's pretty standard really, there are lots of £60k tow cars with £30k caravans out there. Wandering around a campsite and the bulk of outfits seem to be new premium cars with new premium caravans. Caravanning seems to be more of a lifestyle/holiday choice for many, rather than financial. The cost of those rigs can be more than a decades worth of rental villas, hotels, all inclusives etc.AlphaDelta said:

Yeah, because that would have made for a really exciting and fun packed episode, wouldn’t it? Antony Moxey said:
