Anyone been to see Knives out? Probably my favourite film of the year, so well put together and written. My heart sank when I read that 'Star Wars fans' are review bombing the film because it's Rian Johnson. Thankfully it's not made any difference, it's done unusually well for an original adult film with no IP attached.

This could well be because I'm a straight white male, but surely most of the characters could have been LGBT... throughout the entire saga and we wouldn't have noticed as there was no talk of relationships. We've got Anakin+Padme and Han+Leia, were there any more? For all we know Ace Rimmer could be gay and it just hasn't come up in anything he's done in the films.

I have to admit, I do not mind nor care any longer. I booked the Midnight screenings for The Force Awakens, Rogue One and The Last Jedi.

I will not even book a standard cinema ticket to watch this latest hashed up crap. I sold all latest SW blu-rays (although never did buy TLJ blu ray or even watch Solo) and books, and am content to just re-watch the originals occasionally, including the prequels. Oh, and Rogue One, which certainly was made to the spirit of the originals, I feel.

Let's be honest, according to all sources, this latest film is an absolute mess, and anyone who actually pays good money to watch it must be paying to watch the special effects only. This is what happens when the trilogy is out of the hands of one man's vision and given to lesser people all with varying degrees of what they call 'Wokeness', or projection, as it should be called.

Oscar Isaac was on Ellen DG show yesterday - he didnt really sell it - lots of phrases like JJ "landing this massive ship" and "outstanding that the end has come" things of that nature - nothing along the lines of "this is the best thing since Empire" - i wonder if they have either been "told" not to hype it up, or they just reaslise its not going to be what we all want.

From the different youtubers I watch, deft, nuanced shade is being thrown on The Last Jedi as JJ admits he 'isn't good at ending.'
Seems to me they're expecting a fizzle, probably a billion dollar fizzle, but not the normal cash grab that a third ep can be.
