Yep, the Wolesley was lovely (and yes that air filter would have to have been thrown in the bin as well) and they were great cars in the day, and its no coincidence that Wolesley six cylinder cars were the default choice for most UK Police forces from the 1930's through to the 1960's.
What's with all this Wolesley business? Don't you know it's Wolsey, Derek said so, over and over again; so many times that even my O/H noticed it.

wink
He's been wearing too many pairs of tights,

Oh er now we know what Derek gets up to on his 30 minute breaks, not just taking old bangers for a spin. He also services bonnie looking younger models hehe

Now we know what the 'Women needed for random sampling' sign meant. A double dip from Derek.

^^^ Already been a topic of conversation on here back in February.

I do wonder if there is a bit of family strife going on in the background as you often see Derek & Dave on camera together or Derek & the grandkids etc but I can't recall for the last few series at least Derek & Paul on camera together?.

Could it also be part of the reason behind Sarah departing if old Del Boy has a thing for the younger ladies within his staff?

Guy selling the Merc and the Alvis was a bit of a sarcy git. "Did yer stop fer a sleep?" Noticed Derek kept very quiet when he asked for 27k. Knew it would fetch more so went "No comment"

Derek did say the Cresta was returning to where it was built, but Friary worked in Farnham. Just being pedantic. I noticed the interior metal was a sort of pale blue-grey. Quite possible a later owner decided on pink, but weird colours were typical in the day, I recall lemon and white Crestas.

True, but they were converted by Friary at Farnham from completed Cresta's built at Luton, and then transported to down to Farnham, so DM was correct for its first birth pov.

I noticed that, but it was all pink under the bonnet, so, maybe it was just the fact that it was built with the red interior and IIRC, the grey dash etc was the default match with the red seats....?

A friend many years ago, had a factory two-tone pink and cream PA, but that had the monotone off-white interior, seats and dash/steering wheel etc.

Good points.

I was pleased the Alvis fetched good money. Derek is correct that interest in pre-war stuff is fading as prospective buyers are getting too old. You've only got to look at the Fast Ford phenomenon. It's all a bit sad IMHO. I know which car I'd rather own, but then I'm 72.

Indeed, it was good to see it doing well - even if the seller was a sarky sod, I wouldn't have been quite so passive as Derek if he'd said that to me. I was pleased to hear Lagonda mentioned along with Bentley, Riley and Alvis etc. wink

Yes, that Alvis was lovely. The seller was obnoxious; I wonder if Derek would have been so polite if the cameras hadn’t been there smile

Did the massive house at the end belong to the man who bough the R107 SL? Or was it a place open to the public? He was saying about not being able to afford a Pagoda but was driving round the grounds of that place.
