Even the owner is calling it a VX90. Did Vauxhall change the full title?
Doubt it, have only ever known it as a VX 4/90.It did change names, the earlier cars were the VX4/90 but by the time of the very last FE versions, it had changed to VX490. But the pronunciation stayed the same.
Looked a bit high to me, but I'm not well-up on FEs and it might just have had new springs as part of the restoration. Engine bay didn't seem very clean compared to the rest of it.
The place where the bus and the coal truck ended up looked like an interesting place to have a look around.

Doubt it, have only ever known it as a VX 4/90.I'm currently in Malaysia working and can't access the Series 4 programmes - which is killing me because I really do enjoy the series in the UK.
I know this isn't really kosher, but I've spotted the Series4 and previous episodes on YouTube (for now!)

My dad passed this morning and i will watch the show tonight with a stiff drink in hand.
I am in bits but he is at peace now i suppose.
Of all the cars he had he would always bang on about his anglia . I suppose it was special as he courted my mum in that car and they travelled all over in it.
So bangers and cash will be my tonic tonight.
Sorry to hear this news man, take care, peace, gbn I am in bits but he is at peace now i suppose.

My Dad worked at a Vauxhall dealers for many years, I remember getting dropped off at school in one of those Victors , it had a huge sticker down the side saying The Transcontinental.
I thought the Transcontinental was the Ventora, the six-cylinder version but with the same bodyshell. Not well up on FEs though.ajprice said:
"Renault Sport Spider, haven't got a clue"
remember when they were first introduced.A sort of up market Caterham idea with no roof (ever IIRC), a bit Lotus Elise , came out at the same time.
received rapturous applause from the motoring Press but never caught on in the UK. Were they all yellow and grey?

Cool thing in it’s day but not practical and probably would have fared far better if it came out after the much loved Clio 172 etc.

Clio Williams engine (that also went into the first Megane). You could get the in blue and I think red and they had a wind deflector or a full windscreen but never a roof.

I'm pretty sure you could only get the full screen version in the UK.Cool thing in it’s day but not practical and probably would have fared far better if it came out after the much loved Clio 172 etc.

They were very heavy and had a very poor power-to-weight ratio compared to the Caterham and the Elise.A sort of up market Caterham idea with no roof (ever IIRC), a bit Lotus Elise , came out at the same time.

The press were less than complimentary about that, as I recall.

I think you might be right there. Or, rather, the official Renault UK ones were all full screen. I don't believe there is any legal reason you can't grey import one of the screenless ones. Edited by Clockwork Cupcake on Friday 16th April 20:45
