Didn't they remove the vin so nobody else could when viewing it?
I enjoyed the programme and will continue to watch.

With regard the Mini I find the thing about the value and the VIN/identity rather odd. Even if you do have the original VIN/log-book/number plate/ID etc if you have to re-shell and completely rebuild the whole car it's not the original car. So why would it then be worth £50K + ? I appreciate that's just the way it is, but I still don't get it.

A nice programme, with none of the bullst merchants you see on other shows. 18k is a lot to pay for basically an engine and a logbook.
Hope he keeps it standard after he re-shells it and doesn't make a fake rally car.

Good start for the first episode. Nice to have some input from the producer no less.

Always interesting when something is a basket case the quandary of whether if reshelled how can it be original. I think the core shell should be replaced and treated to ensure it doesn’t suffer the catastrophic tin worm the originals did. Everything needs replacing.

Apart from that minor faux pas ,I enjoyed this ,way better than some other recent car programmes.

No BS .unlike Goblin garage ,Lazy boy garage and Drew Pritchard's vanity car prog.

Point well made - you’re right, I think I got an apostrophe in the wrong place somewhere as well but don’t tell anyone😱 Still, apart from that you seemed to enjoy it, so that’s good!

Classic orange wedge next week, among other joys.

Yep, excellent, really enjoying it, and as a side issue bringing back happy memories of visits to Thornton-le-Dale during holidays to North Yorkshire area.

Also definitely love the no nonsense Yorkshire comments from customers looking at the auction lots.

Was hanging my nose over yesterday's auction catalogue, tempted by the A40 Somerset, sad git that I am.

The title is a bit unfortunate, 'Bangers'? Could something better have not been thought up.

The wife is hilarious, the way she said something like ' he is alright so long as he stops doing the terrible joooookes' Her exaggerated accent was really funny.

it comes across as a sensible sort of show with no acting up to the camera or none of the end of the world if not done before so and so time.
The voice over is a bit hmm, and the music a bit plinky plonky but no where near as bad as some of the American heavy guitar dross and strange people who want to be TV stars. Seems like a successful company doing the right thing.
Wish I could buy some of their stuff.

Just caught up with this on UKTV Play as we used to live up the road and my dad was their bank manager once upon a time. We still pass there regularly in the summer months and I always have a good look over the stock parked out the front.

Good show, likeable people and interesting cars - nice one Mumbles Boy - you've resisted the urge to insert ludicrous amounts of US-style 'jeapordy' and the programme is all the better for it.

It looks like it's being repeated at 12am on Monday,
No such time.

It's either 12 noon, or 12 midnight.

Otherwise it's 11.59 am, or 12.01 pm, if it's the middle of the day.

Or 11.59pm, or 12.01 am, if it's the middle of the night.

Always assuming one isn't using the 24 hour clock.

No, I am happy to help.

Enjoying this series...looks like the film crew have a bit of banter with the owner and his family, I remember the Motorbike display at Winfields store in Harlingen from a few visits there.

My wife initially thought the voiceover was Craig Charles but on reading the credits it’s Toby Foster who was in Phoenix Nights as half of the backing band Les Alanos.

And what exactly do you think is inbetween 11:59pm and 12:01am if not 12am?

I'm enjoying the program, and they have some lovely cars and interesting ephemera there. I suggested to Mrs. DR that a visit might be in order if we ever find ourselves in the area and she gave me that "Yeah;right. No chance" look that women do so well.

I have already told you. It is 12 midnight.

There is no such time as 12 a.m. or 12 p.m.
