Good, an excellent replacement given her own proven abilities as a dancer.https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-4907...
its a good appointment imho a dancer and used to the show and format as well.
pretty much had to be a female I reckon. I hope that Bruno sees this as his last season as well frankly. I've nothing against him, he can be good can be very annoying but it needs freshening up on the male panel side of things. Anton would seem like the natural choice for me.

Surely she won't ?
Her sister is a professional dancer on the show not a celebrity contestant.
Not directly, but the pros on many (not all) do their own choreography and the judges do end up critiquing the route as well as the quality of the dance. There is no way in hell that the at points during the season people will be say rightly or wrongly that she was biased towards her sister (or against for fear of the optics). I just don't want to see those perceptions filter in to the show and the only way is to not give rise to that opportunity. Her sister is a professional dancer on the show not a celebrity contestant.

When Motsi was a judge on the German show "Let's Dance" she had the deciding vote on whether her sister stayed in the competition or not and she voted her out.
I think it'll actually be the other way where she will be tougher with her sister to make sure she can't be accused of bias.
Often the way in these cases. People will be overtly harsh to counter an accusation of favouritism. I think it'll actually be the other way where she will be tougher with her sister to make sure she can't be accused of bias.

I heard a rumour Crackers is on it this. Going to be fking epic if so.
Who or what is 'Crackers'?I had a dog named Cracker several years ago. He's dead now so I doubt it will be him.
Wasnt allowed to do it previously as his wife, and I quite "did want some Russian fanny in his face every week". Now separated he is free.

But you have to remember that it is the celebrity that shouldn't be tarnished by it one way or the other, not Oti.I think it'll actually be the other way where she will be tougher with her sister to make sure she can't be accused of bias.

First 3 contestants for this year revealed earlier this evening.
David James - ex footballer & current pundit. Evidently been asked to do it many times before but always refused, but decided to do it this year after being talked into it by friend / former contestant Mark Foster.
Chris Ramsey - comedian. Admits he can't really dance but willing to give it a go for the laughs / banter from other comedians / friends.
Emma Barton - actor (Honey Mitchell - Eastenders). This years "Strictly Superfan" based on the promo blurb.
New dancer also revealed as Nancy Xu - Latin specialist - who replaces Pasha Kovalev, who announced earlier this year he was leaving the show.

Odd that they have replaced Pasha with a woman.Edited by AlexRS2782 on Wednesday 31st July 23:59
IIRC they always had an equal number of male and female contestants, unless some other professionals are also being replaced.
