I'm doing well: I think they've announced five so far and I've only heard of David James. I'm normally a bit better than that, I've usually heard of half the line up by the time the final celeb is announced.

Odd that they have replaced Pasha with a woman.

IIRC they always had an equal number of male and female contestants, unless some other professionals are also being replaced.

They always have some spare pros who generally just take part in the big sequences: last year there were a couple of new men taken on so maybe one of them will be promoted to get a celeb & the new totty put on the bench. She might be in for Katya though who is rumoured to be demoted for snogging Sean last year.

Yeah I don't like to be that person who doesn't know any popular culture and I'm normally more aware but I haven't heard of these people. I dont follow football either so I dont really know who David James is although i do losely recognise him.

It was the pros first day of pre-season rehearsals today and reports online suggest it's quite likely that Neil Jones has been promoted to the main show (from his previous background / choreography / It Takes Two role) and will fill the slot vacated by Pasha. Meanwhile new dancer Nancy takes the place of Katya, who is expected to be dropped from the main show (and take up the role previously filled by Neil) as a result of "kissgate" with Sean Walsh last year.

I don't see anything particularly positive about Neil Jones, he comes over as rather characterless and possibly more suited to staying in his previous role.

i like the fact that he's understated and imho he is the best all-round dancer of the male professionals with perhaps the exception of Alijaz.

Neil's footwork is exceptional and it will be great to see him in the main series.

Jesus ,I watch every year and almost invariably enjoy it and end rooting for particular contestants but there's no denying the level of celebrity and how well known they are is plummeting year in year.

Not sure I could have pictured the face of any announced so far from their name alone bar David James.
