When Motsi was a judge on the German show "Let's Dance" she had the deciding vote on whether her sister stayed in the competition or not and she voted her out.

I think it'll actually be the other way where she will be tougher with her sister to make sure she can't be accused of bias.
Ze Germans actually do dancing? I thought their cultural appreciation was for three day long operas.

i like the fact that he's understated and imho he is the best all-round dancer of the male professionals with perhaps the exception of Alijaz.

Neil's footwork is exceptional and it will be great to see him in the main series.
You did see the last two years of Pro challenges?

Alex Scott, anyone? Female footbalist apparently.

If you dont watch football, YouTube, or trashy reality TV you've no hope of knowing these people.

Really woeful selection this year. Seems the barrel has run dry of zelebs prepared to sacrifice 4 months of thier lives to get on TV a bit more.

You'd think there would be a massive queue of people wanting to go on the BBC's prime time Saturday night show, but obviously not.

How many contestants have had noticable career boosts from appearing on the show?

Yep - Aside from the winners (Stacey Dooley for example) it doen't seem to give much of a boost for those that are in the media anyway. Weeks and months of practice, sore feet, aching muscles all to go out in early November with nothing to show for it. Too much aggro even for the fame hungry. It's easier to go up the jungle, eat a few ants and have a nice holiday on Oz.

Crackers and Anika haven't officially been confirmed yet have they?

As mentioned earlier Alex Scott - retired Arsenal captain turned pundit - was the 12th contestant announced earlier today.

Yep - they're still listed as rumoured / unconfirmed at the current time as is i think Fearne Cotton.

The press blurb & Twitter chat today suggests a large amount of people think it's "the worst ever line up" since Strictly was launched.

Why isn't Chris Evans "confirmed" ?

Wasn't his participation leaked / confirmed months ago ?

Or have I missed something ?

I've heard of 5 of the confirmed so far.

Officially pulled out a month or so back as a result of a knee injury - on the advice of his specialist - evidently.

It is pretty awful, as I said before I'm not ignorant of popular culture and usually know people but I recognise no one. Going to be made a lot better if Crackers is in.

I can't believe he's doing it. I hope his crewmates, past and current, are mercilessly taking the piss out of him.

He wouldn't give a fk. I fking love James Cracknell. Few years back my daughter (aged probably 7 at the time) made me a birthday card and put pictures of James on it because I had all his DVDs. I sent to him on Twitter and he replied wishing me happy birthday. Best day ever!

Might as well be the badge off a Vauxhall for all I know about him.
