Yep - Aside from the winners (Stacey Dooley for example) it doen't seem to give much of a boost for those that are in the media anyway. Weeks and months of practice, sore feet, aching muscles all to go out in early November with nothing to show for it. Too much aggro even for the fame hungry. It's easier to go up the jungle, eat a few ants and have a nice holiday on Oz.How many contestants have had noticable career boosts from appearing on the show?
As mentioned earlier Alex Scott - retired Arsenal captain turned pundit - was the 12th contestant announced earlier today.
The press blurb & Twitter chat today suggests a large amount of people think it's "the worst ever line up" since Strictly was launched.

I've heard of 5 of the confirmed so far.
Officially pulled out a month or so back as a result of a knee injury - on the advice of his specialist - evidently.Wasn't his participation leaked / confirmed months ago ?

It is pretty awful, as I said before I'm not ignorant of popular culture and usually know people but I recognise no one. Going to be made a lot better if Crackers is in. k. I fking love James Cracknell. Few years back my daughter (aged probably 7 at the time) made me a birthday card and put pictures of James on it because I had all his DVDs.
