Agreed also the musical interlude was just plain off
Felt like they were trying to emulate Scrubs...but it's not that kind of show.

Wasn't entirely sure on the BLM piece either - it felt forced. The idea with Blue Hawk was fine, but the execution very poor, which surprised me as the show thus far has exuded quality in production values. Unless there was something subliminal in there from the writers...but that would seem like overthinking it.

I think it’s a sign the writers are running out of ideas. Just needs a dream sequence to confirm my suspicions.

I thought it was intended to be a bit cringy, and forced? I took it as a reflection of yet another failed and desperate attempt by A-Train to stay relevant and at the fore. The same way he's rebranded to his "roots", but everyone laughed at his new suit design.

The dancing scene was a bit meh, but the trailers had forewarned us at least.

I did enjoy the SR cameo though. hehe

That was very amusing.

It's attracted a couple of biggies - Charlize Theron in Ep1 too. (MrsM has been warned that if she comes knocking...smile I felt the comedic laughter was a bit uncalled for, but at least the honesty is out there).

Right I've finally got in to this but hit a snag, now I know this is going to sound irrational but the sight of the Deeps gills makes me wretch which was weird but I also thought about it all the next day and still wretched, firstly wtf and secondly do we see more of them.

I think I need to go see someone hehe

Oh it was quite involuntary and irrational, normally I have a cast iron stomach. Perhaps I was a fingered fish in a past life.

I think it was a plot device to show A Trains journey to kissing Homelanders arse to realising Supes are a problem and playing a key part at the end in fighting Homelander (just when Homelander thinks hes on his side).

Agree, after he betrayed them and got Supersonic killed he's on a journey, I actually though Supersonic was going to be the traitor.

The song and dance fantasy, is that Kimiko dying?

Not sure what the song and dance thing was about, just playing out in Frenchie's head? Anyway it made me laugh so that's OK.

Bit of a holding episode I thought but still well worth an hour of my time. In contrast I am struggling through Boba Fett on Disney and fell asleep in Ep5 last night. I doubt anyone could fall asleep in an episode of The Boys.

Interesting. I assumed the musical scene was in Kimiko’s head. Like episode 1 when she imagined singing at the party.

It didn’t really work for me. I figure it was deliberately naff as a joke, but the joke didn’t work.

I thought it was in Frenchie's head as I think it stopped when he got distracted? Didn't work for me either, maybe as a 10 second joke but it just dragged on.

Herogasm, I think this is actually the best episode of The Boys yet! It's got everything outlandish that the show is known for.
