Coppers dont work the area they live
Yeah they do...90% of my station live on patch. I recall selling a house to a policeman - he had to get force approval who checked I think for very local dodgy neighbours. This was 30 years ago though. Blood hell - I feel old all of a sudden.
Not a problem in Weatherfield as no police investigating an armed robbery with a policeman getting shot. So I guess we will need to wait for Craigy to recover so he can investigate the crime himself. It is hilarious in Corrie. Somebody drops a piece of litter on the street and a police car arrives immediately to arrest suspect, a policeman is shot and not a sign of anybody investigating!!

I loved the robbery scene. Man walks into bar dressed exactly as before but wearing a silly mask. Nobody recognises him then he shoots the only policeman in the village and runs out. 5 minutes later he is taking to Johnie still wearing the same clothes but without the mask. No police search for the gunman so he can carry on as if nothing had happened. Bloody ridiculous!!
Next he will be flashing the cash in the bar and nobody will suspect anything.
I agree with the comments regarding Gale. Perhaps she could have a decent haircut from her Mam and they could stuff the cut hair into Leanne's big shouty gob!!

If Corrie producers are watching, please note - no way would the police listen to an allegation of verbal harassment then immediately send a copper round to a business to confront the alleged perp.
The local plod couldn't attend an armed robbery in time midweek but can rustle up yet another cop within 5 mins today for that!
Absolutely pathetic!

Noticed that. The WPC arrived immediately after Aaliyah got back to Speed Dahl from the Bistro. Impressive response time The local plod couldn't attend an armed robbery in time midweek but can rustle up yet another cop within 5 mins today for that!

Sorry guys, I’m going to go against the flow here!
I love Corrie, but I’m not under any delusion that it’s real!
If truth be known, I like Emmerdale too!
They aren’t supposed be real (I know this may come as a shock to many)
I have had enough of the (so-called) ‘real’ world!
I watch for a little escapism from this st (especially this year) life.
Who cares if the Street’s savant, Steve Macdonald has shagged most of the fit women?
Does it matter that the Police don’t follow official procedure? (You do realise that Craig isn’t a real plod, he’s an actor).
What does it matter that Scott’s disguise was as effective as a sheet of cling film?
So David suddenly has a sink hole, and no insurance to pay for it to be filled in! If you watched carefully there was a secret mole who arranged it!
What is the point of watching something which is just day-to-day events in a normal street? If you want that just start looking through you neighbour’s windows, you never know, after about 2 years something vaguely interesting may happen!
It’s called “fiction” it doesn’t have to be real, or accurate, if it was everyone would top watching it due to boredom!

TBH it's quite fun watching some of the soaps and looking out for the obvious, Covid related mistakes
In reference to Emmerdale and also some form of accuracy being depicted, the amusement value this week came from the not a car accident, that then became a car accident. Audi swerves to avoid Pug - no damage done in the scene shown. Next scene, after the break, respective mirrors hanging off both cars despite not having been in contact, plus the Audi's front bumper is now hanging loose whilst a few scenes later the Pug has then gained lots of visible marks / scratches on the front quarter panel
Earlier in the week you had a kid breaking her arm when a bonnet slammed shut on it. Only in the scene they show, she ends up flying backwards as though she'd got a shock from the car battery so the bonnet slams shut without ever touching her arm Then you have a hospital scene that flouted at least 2 of the long running Covid rules regarding hospitals / access / visits, etc.
I know CV has messed with plots & filming, hence the obvious distancing with characters, but when it comes to simple continuity things, come on

+1. I think all of the people on here know it is not real life and they are all actors BUT there is suspending belief and then there is laughing out loud at the crass stories and bad acting which seems the norm in the recent Corrie episodes. I now only watch it for the odd moment of brilliance e.g. Roy and Evelyn in the cafe tonight.200Plus Club said:
Roy and Evelyn do bounce off each other and obviously enjoy their roles tremendously.
Shame the same doesn't apply to -
Gemma
PC plod
Leanne
Etc.
Also fair play to the actor playing Geoff, he's actually making the man very dislikeable and also obviously enjoying himself to boot.
Excellent acting as you really hate the character and the nuances of being evil but looking kind and considerate are well executed. I read somewhere the actor is not happy with the character but doesn't seem to prevent him playing it out to the full.Shame the same doesn't apply to -

The car bonnet scene was full of holes. Firstly , I think the car was shown with a hydraulic stay. Then it was a manual one which wasn’t located properly. Then when it started to slide, the bonnet never moved down at all.In reference to Emmerdale and also some form of accuracy being depicted, the amusement value this week came from the not a car accident, that then became a car accident. And finally as pointed out, it somehow threw the kid about 10 yards instead of trapping her arm.
