I thought that as well. Bank manager says no proof of coercion. Apart from a fully documented case in a court of law.
It was all over the papers as well, wasn't it? Why is no one asking what Geoff did with the money? Cue it magically turning up in one of his accounts that Yasmin becomes the sole beneficiary of.

I gave up on Corrie eight months ago I think and I haven’t really looked back. Am I missing anything?

The bistro has turned into a lap dancing club. Evelyn and Mary are the star turns. The rest of the street has disappeared into the sink hole, which was Ray's plan all along. He got out of prison by disguising himself as someone with a more convincing accent and is currently planning to expand his evil empire as far as Inkerman Street.

And Tommy Orpington scored the winning penalty for England in the rearranged Euro 2020 final against Germany!!!

The costa product placement was particularly lumpen, everyone looking slightly embarrassed to deliver such unconvincing tripe.

Skint family spends £20 on implausible 'breakfast'.

That's probably the most true to life part of Corrie at the moment smile

Well Friday's episode was the worst load of tosh I've ever seen on the cobbles and I've been watching since 1960.

I'm on a couple of Corrie Facebook groups and most people are complaining.

Too much violence and the comedy aspect, what bit there is, is pathetic.

I appreciate with CV19 it's difficult, but the scripts are crap.

The scene with Eileen, George, Audrey and Gail in the street a case in point.

That did seem a bit contrived, like they were sitting around thinking of ideas and someone said 'Gail and Eileen haven't had a feud over anything in a while' so contrived some reason for them to have a shouting match.

There has been the occasional banter between Tim and Steve and of course the ever-reliable Mary trying to be "woke", but the show is in danger of jumping the shark. IMO it's time to admit defeat in the face of the pandemic, announce publically that a soap cannot be produced in the circumstances, bin what's in the can and put it all on hold until June at least or whenever it is obvious that life is back to something like normal. Broadcast old classic s in the meantime to fill schedules.

I think the scripts are the problem, they seem to have lost what corrie is supposed to be about and descended into a 90s Eastenders depression fest, and discarded the humour that was a significant part of the scripts.

I agree. The fact that Corrie is supposed to be entertainment seems to have been forgotten and replaced by the scriptwriters trying to squeezes as many "real world" problems into each episode as they can. Not only is it depressing but the writing is so poor that each story becomes contrived to the extent it is laughable (but not in a good way!).

And a northern Lourdes. Just about any disease cured in 3 episodes and twins suddenly become a year younger.
