Taken from Werneth Low Hyde, with Manchester city centre in the background.
If you want to take a pic of a frozen screen with Sky Q, hit the play pause button as you have done, but if you then hit the back button to the left of the button with the house on it, you'll get full screen without the bar across the bottom.

I love the weather anomalies in the Street caused by the filing schedule - so the dull and dark we expect in November means, for Weatherfield , Mediterranean light . I recall snow falling in a May episode , quite unremarked.

Or does Weatherfield have its own weather system ? Its name therefore being another example of nominative determinism ? We should be told

Don't you think Vicky looks like the younger sister of Shirley Ballas off Strictly?

Regarding the weather, Corrie is usually filmed around six weeks in advance, therefore it may be snowing in an April/May episode.

Sinead's funeral tonight. Stock up on tissues or dust inhibitors. This'll be a test of which cast members can really act - I think we all know which ones will step up to the plate.

Liz was on the receiving end of the best ever Corrie put down, IMO.

Blanch, to Liz, tarted up to the nines. 'Going anywhere special?'
Liz, 'a job interview'
Blanch, 'what for, a prostitute?!'

I miss Blanche. An acerbic tongue, now pretty well replaced by Maureen Lipman.

I’d forgotten Blanche. She was brilliant though, as you say, ML is a pretty good replacement smile
