What's happened to Spider man, was it just a fleeting visit?
For those who don't know (or like me don't remember!) there is a fair bit of history to Audrey's son Stephen here: https://coronationstreet.fandom.com/wiki/Stephen_R...

I would describe him as condescending, he talks like Paul Gambaccini.

We seem to be back to very many fleeting storylines. Kidnap the new one tonight.
The electric shock thing was a bit overplayed, never seen anyone with ten burnt fingers from a crack off a table lamp. And how does the big gob lady manage to run a hotel and bistro while seemingly being mainly employed only at the back street bistro?

The Ty and Phil bromance heading for a big fall out is surely "oven ready" now and can run its course.

Condescending ...Spider ?? Earnest, yes but almost over polite is my recollection and I struggle to see any resemblance to The Great Gambo. Spider was
introduced at a time when the whole eco warrior, crusties and tree huggers vibe was much in the news . To me he looks and sounds just right - all weneed now is some Levellers or Julian Cope playing in his scenes.

Surely the NHS crisis could be solved by sacking all the nurses and leaving everything to Aggie. She seems to pop up on every ward and have enough time to sort out every patient's problem and have lengthy discussions with the visitors. Problem solved!!

Baddie Guy "I need £50k"
Gary "I can only immediately get my hands on £24k"!!!
Good old money tree must be wilting under the pressure as Aggie is about to get £25k from "e by gum" Bistro lady!!
They all seem to have so much money in Corrie I wonder why they don't all move out and relocate in Alderley Edge.

Getting very unrealistic about money and jobs on corrie.
Big gob runs a hotel and bistro but can't pay for wiring testing and presumably putting insurance in place but can whip up cash as you say.
Buildings and land are bought either in the one episode or within that week. No solicitor legals are ever needed or bank transfers....

Is Weatherfield the only hospital in the UK where no masks need to be worn? On the same note - would a copper really have told Maria all that about the stalker in the public reception area of the station?

He should have waited and held a confidential chat in a very loud voice in the Rovers or the Bistro like all the health workers, solicitors etc.

Blimey. I'm in NI. GP still not re-opened and masks for visits anyway. AFAIK masks compulsory in hospitals - even pharmacies prefer you to wear one.

So Debbie is in a hole because Ray cancelled the professional indemnity insurance. He probably cancelled it because hotels don't need professional indemnity insurance. They would have public liability insurance, which would cover people injured on the premises as a result of negligence of the hotel or it's staff.

Public liability insurance is legally required, I believe. Reportable accident, requiring inpatient hospital treatment. Assets available.

Lawyers Sue, Grabbit and Run would have a field day.

Where did Gary get a brand new electric van from. Should of given them that instead of the £24k. The van must be worth close to £40k!

You beat me to it! Honestly , a two minute chat with the right folk would stop the script writers constantly getting minor details wrong. It doesn't really matter - it isn't real I keep telling myself - but basic errors in stuff I do know about( legals) does irritate .

Debbie has a huge gob it is true , but she acts well and I love her accent. Odd how brother Kevin's is that awful Manc whine, while Debbie sounds proper Lancashire (to my Yorkshire ears ).

It's actually not, but it's usually bought as a joint thing with employer's liability, which is a legal requirement.
