We're into series one of 'Only Murders in the building' with Steve Martin, really enjoying it so far!

Noticed that Future Man is now on Disney.

Didn’t expect much and surprised it’s for an adult audience - far funnier than I thought it was going to be.

Half hour episodes so easy to watch.

Having recently upgraded to a 4K HDR Dolby Vision TV - i've been dissapointed by the compression/blocks on the disney movies that specifically state they are 4K HDR - the tv pics up that they are and applies the appropriate settings, but sometimes the quality if awful. (Rogue one for example, opening sequence, background greenery is blocky, motion is jerky of shuttle landing)

Ive attached the TV directly to the router and speed tested my broadband/fibre at 50mbps - so it should be good enough - but nope.....

has anyone got decent 4K out of Disney?

I've got a 5 year old 4k TV. HDMI to my amp then sources into amp. I use a Fire TV Cube and the relevant app (Disney +, AppleTV+ and Netflix) I've had no issues at all running 4k movies/tv shows etc from any of the apps. Prime too.

If it helps my TV is a PANASONIC TX-L42E6B and internet is Virgin gigabit (but had been using 4k on 100mb upwards over last 5 years)

Yes all settings are off. It's a top end Sony, with 12jz panel too. Google TV so it's using Disney's own app
All other apps are fine,
Xbox 4k player is great...

Very strange.

Perhaps my Mbps needs to be even higher.... But then why is the other apps all good...

Have you a different way of streaming the Disney app?

I’ve found some TVs are just rubbish streaming certain apps. I have a LG in the bedroom which often struggles with NOW and Disney. No issues streaming through a ROKU box.

Silly fun. I liked it/them.

Selena Gomez’ weirdly nasal and monotonous voice was a surprise. Martin Short’s ability to act too.

While I have the floor Wedding Season was good fun too. I’m not entirely sure how it got commissioned tbh as it didn’t strike me as an easy sell to the (presumable American) financiers and producers.

Mrs Ash and I started watching The Americans again last night on D+. For anyone wanting a great show, give it a try, it's an espionage thriller series, runs for 5 (or maybe 6) seasons with full closure of the story line. About 2 deep undercover KGB officers living in the US, with their US born children.

It is one of the best TV shows out there I think, well worth a watch.

I just cancelled mine.
Might spring for the odd month here and there but there is just not enough on it for us.
That's Apple and Disney, Now went ages ago. Paramount will go after the year.
