Anyone else been watching A Thousand Blows? Only 2 episodes in but enjoying it so far
Just watched first 2 episodes, really enjoying it. Took me a bit of time but the actor playing Treacle was Pez Pierce in The Ink Black Heart.

Yes, binged the whole series, it's got Guy Ritchie's (not sure he was involved) fingerprints all over it but toned down.

I loved it.

Stephen Graeme's character is definitely a Lenny McLean style fighter and McLean was in Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.
Mary Carr is as hard as nails too but definitely troubled.
It really is very very good.

mega episode today - loved it.
Agreed. We really enjoyed Episode 1 & 2.. 3/4/5 felt like disjointed filler but 6 and 7 have picked up nicely.

EP 7 was Spectacular, one of the best hours of TV and dealt with the subject matter honestly better and more convincingly than any film has.

9.4 on IMDB says it all.

Yup. It was starting to look a little woolly in the previous couple of episodes, but that was properly riveting.

Was a great episode indeed, better than some entire disaster movies I have seen, just one more to go I think
Renewed for season 2 if not already mentioned

Another thumbs up from me.

The one where the message was shown first (Ep5?) made me think it was going downhill...but it's recovered and some.

Wow, stunning episode. The Ozymandias moment of Paradise; Day after Tomorrow bordering on Threads minus the graphic detail.

Brilliantly tense episode of Paradise. Finally felt like it got moving and is coming together.

I wasn't convinced at the start but really starting to like it.

Just came in to jump on the "that episode of Paradise was great" bandwagon.

The series started strong and felt like it was fading a little, or potentially becoming a bit too "action filmy", but the last episode was fantastic - tense, believable, well filmed, well acted. Only silly bit for me was the magic Red Nuke / Blue EMP switches in the nuclear football - but I think this is important for the story, so can forgive it.

Enjoyed this, Peaky Blinders influence, same producer or writer or something. Noticed Ashley Walters directed some/all episodes?

We are up to episode 4 of Paradise, really enjoying it.
Went in thinking it ws just a secret service show, had no idea about the end of the world story.
Brilliant.

High potential. No it hasn't. Done before many many times. Main character voice is so annoying. Then a the credits role it starts it's an exact copy of a French series.

It’s not meant to be high brow, it’s weird crimes solved by a woman dressed like a hooker with no overarching story rofl

I dropped mine to the not 4k tier. I'd been doing odd months for a while now so not much of change.

Against the flow of terrible Star Wars series - Skeleton Crew was very enjoyable. Solid characters, some of the best new Ships we've had for ages and solid if not earth shattering performances all round.

Very much filled the expectations of goonies in space it was 'advertised' as.

It’s nothing special but she does have rather long legs

Yes. Enjoyed that. It's what I imagined a Star Wars series might be like before the horrible reality often emerged.

Strangest thing was noticing the father looked rather like the singer from TV on the Radio. And it turned out it was.
