The poachers aren't really the ones to blame though. As a general rule they're desperate, poorly informed and just trying to get by and support families etc. Often migrants too so it's just the equivalent of getting a job in a carwash over here. It's just what they do to survive without understanding the wider consequences.

That's all a generalisation but it's largely true, the people funding the trade and buying the goods, the people smuggling it in vast quantities into China etc, the rich folks buying dodgy ivory goods and animal skins on the black market for extortionate prices. All those people Know it is wrong and are informed and heavily profiting from it. The poachers make pennies and risk their lives regularly.

It's a st thing all round but it needs action from governments and influential people and needs awareness spread in countries that still don't understand what they're doing.
China is the root cause of so many of the worlds issues right now.

This the one that is HD only then.
Yesterday I couldn't get it to play off iPlayer without the audio description. Today it's available in UHD. Glad I waited.

As I couldn't get it in 4k I went back to off air, I got the audio description whilst looking for the 4k.

Will go back to it, the 4k on this series has been superb. They need to do more and make it the norm.

As far as I’m concerned, this is the lowest point that the human race has reached. Whatever we do to one another in our stupid wars pales in comparison to how we go about entering their underwater world, cutting off their limbs and leaving them to a very slow and painful death. All just so that a particularly dumb subsection of our species can have a slightly more pleasing lunch.

If there was a button I could press tomorrow to mass-eradicate everyone who ate shark-fin soup, I’d hit it without a second though.

Well, they are. You don’t need to be particularly intelligent or well informed to know that what you are doing and how you are doing it to those animals is truly barbaric and horrific. But no, you’re right, it’s EXACTLY like getting a job in a car wash.

Mr A standing next to those Rhinos at the end rang a bell. I follow that park on twitter.

You get a sort of reality check with some of the tweets.

And if ( assuming i heard it correctly) commercial whaling is banned, then he mentions except Iceland,Norway and Japan, but add the rider for scientific purposes as Japan claims. Ans if it isnt why doesn't UNO do something?
What scientific reason could they have to continue to kill whales? They are killing them for food and we all know it.

Grow up.

I was going to write a long reply detailing some of the many issues you apparently don't have any understanding of.

But it's clearly a waste of time and you're just as poorly informed as the people doing the poaching.

So let's just stick with "torture them all" as that will clearly solve the poaching trade issue overnight....

In India one of the provisional governments has taken the innovative step of shooting suspected poachers on sight (see: https://qz.com/india/908867/kazirangas-ruthless-ra... Guess what, poaching of the rare Rhino that lives there has dropped massively. Humans are scum destroying our planet, human rights is an invention to maintain the view that man is superior to nature, and the needs and wants of the scummy 7 billion greedy corrupt species we all make-up take precedence over the survival and welfare of nature. Boll**s to that I say... Let's hope they employ similar practices in Africa soon.

Grow up? Really? You genuinely think poachers’ behaviour and how they butcher their kills is just poor uneducated locals trying to put food on the table, the same as getting a job in a car wash? You really think that? Seems it’s not me who needs to grow up - you apparently have the reasoning of a five year old. ‘Torture them all’? What ARE you on about?
