Not for me,only watching Eddie because he's a local lad

Both shows have the same format - part travelog, part cookery (but not too much cookery), a little bit of history and background, maybe meeting someone interesting, and then an eating challenge at the end.

Personally I watch shows like this in spite of the eating challenges rather than because of them.

So I'm just saying that if you like 'Eddie Eats America' then you'll probably like 'Man v Food'

However, it's genuinely no skin off my nose if you aren't interested - I was just trying to be helpful.

That's half the charm of him (and of Adam Richman) - the eating challenge isn't the endgame and failure is an option.
