The Game Changers Documentary

Anyone seen this?
I would say I have reduced my meat consumption by 75% over the last year or so but now seriously contemplating a 100% plant-based diet now. But since all documentaries are pushing an agenda of one kind or another - are there any real negatives? I know veganism is on the rise and believed to be 10% of the UK population now.
So PH meat-eaters, do your best to debunk! Why should I not do this?

10%?! Wow.. I thought it was way higher than that.Maybe its just because they seem so keen on telling everyone.. again and again...
Seriously though, a friend mentioned he (and his family) were considering the change after watching this documentary. That is up to him, but I don't think it should be forced on the kids.

At least as it becomes more mainstream, fewer people will need to 'identify' in such away. Maybe its just because they seem so keen on telling everyone.. again and again...

I haven't seen the documentary and I have to admit, I've had a few plant based burgers and steaks recently and they have been as good as or better (more often the latter) than the real thing.I would say I have reduced my meat consumption by 75% over the last year or so but now seriously contemplating a 100% plant-based diet now. I'm not a massive bacon fan and think I could go vegan full time but my other half is a big meat eater so it just wouldn't fly at home. I have noticed that while I'm away with work (4 days a week) I just don't eat meat at all.
I think the biggest downside is making sure you eat enough protein, B12, iron etc.
I've been veggie for a few months now. I do occasionally eat a bit of meat to see what I'm missing. I had a bit of smoked salmon on focaccia at a buffet at work the other and have to admit it was distinctly average and didn't make me feel I was missing out on anything.
One of the biggest benefits for me is that it significantly reduces your takeaway/fast food options. As a result I have saved quite a sum in cash and lost each two stone.

Seriously I wouldn't rely on anything presented as science in game changers. lots of critiques on the web about the flaws/ inaccuracies in GC. Veganism is suboptimal nutrition and makes little sense to do from a health perspective, morally it has it's rationale but I would argue it's pretty flawed as well.

Care to expand? The moral aspect is not a major one for me, but the health benefits (or rather the detrimental effect of meat) seem fairly clear cut?Gassing Station | TV, Film, Video Streaming & Radio | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
