Also, The Iceman. The Philip Carlo book is the best book I've ever read. They didn't base the movie on this book but another one written about the Iceman instead. The truly spine tingling horror of some of what the man did was not even mentioned in the movie (the cave stuff if you've read the book) and they decided to add a load of unnecessary Hollywood tripe to a story that really didn't need it. The road rage incident didn't need a full on car chase sequence driving the wrong way on a one way street for example. Again it wasn't a bad movie but it was a huge disappointment and missed opportunity for those who don't know about the man. My family agreed on this as we passed the book on to each other.

The Last Jedi - just didn't feel like a Star Wars movie to me and caused me to forego Solo when it was in the theatres
Spectre - as mentioned above. Dire and too long
Bladerunner 2066 (or whatever the number was) - very pretty, but so slow
Godzilla (2014) - just waiting for Godzilla to make an appearance...

Easily The Last Jedi.
I think most SW fans went into The Force Awakens with expectations pretty low, but I thought it was great.
Rogue One was even better.
It seemed they pulled off the impossible, they made a film that not only kids would like, but their hyper critical, middle-aged Dads who wanted to feel like they did when they were 5 again as well.
Then they 'went Woke' with The Last Jedi which isn't a deal breaker, but in the process pissed on not only the originals, but the TFA for good measure too.
I was lucky with Prometheus, My Wife and I were busy having a baby when it was released so I missed it in the Cinema, by the time I saw it at home my expectations were rock bottom and I actually enjoyed it.

I have to agree with this. The main problem is that there are just too many Marvel/Avenger movies coming out now. There are four scheduled for next year. Solo was actually quite fun - waaay better than TLJ (though that wouldn't be hard!).Interesting that there's been no mention of The Phantom Menace given the SW mentions here

Lord of the Rings
I've tried to watch it, twice, but just couldn't get past about 30 mins. This is highly unusual as I'll watch some proper crap but I just can't engage.
Guardians of the Galaxy
Everyone raves about it, I'm a Marvel fan and, again, I've tried multiple times to watch it but I just can't get into it.
Lord of the Rings
I've tried to watch it, twice, but just couldn't get past about 30 mins. This is highly unusual as I'll watch some proper crap but I just can't engage.
Guardians of the Galaxy
Everyone raves about it, I'm a Marvel fan and, again, I've tried multiple times to watch it but I just can't get into it.
Some fascinating insights, I guess your personal faves can allow you to see through what some think is an average film.
I don;lt mind the cowing down bit to audience as in Joker.
I adored Manchester by the Sea, was a fabulous piece of acting I thought.
And what is the one about the guy in army who comes back and his brother has been taken advantage of by a group driving a 2CV, one of the most disturbing but "made an impact on me" films I have seen in a very long time.
Another I felt little for was Incredibles 2, I normally love Pixar, but that was too try female based, when the original made the same impact just from family.
And last night I watched Quiet Place, if you knew creatures searched by sound, would you really, REALLY have a baby in that environment?
