Not that anyone really needs telling we are an over consuming wasteful society but the numbers chucked about really make you think...
And considering they only needed to highlight companies beginning with A. Adidas, Amazon, Apple..... paperbag

Very, very late to the party but just finished S2 of House of Cards...

What an incredible show, I can't decide if it's enhanced or diminished by what we now know about Spacey and the parallels with his character.

We also enjoyed Man on the Inside over a couple of evenings. Look forward to the next series.

I started watching Breeders last night - watched 3 or 4 episodes.
Not sure what to make of it yet - it was mildly amusing, but there are some dark undertones with Martin Freemans character.

I'm currectly binging Cold Call - very good so far.

Film wise, A Man Called Otto (Hanks) is worth watching as is Roman J Israel (Denzel). When either actor is involved you can't really go wrong.

I made the mistake of watching Gunpowder the other day, thinking it might be a fair representation of the history of the Gunpowder plot.

As soon as Guy Fawkes was shown (a shaved head, incredibly built tough guy with a scar over his face) I realised it was a bit silly. There were made up stories, ridiculous fight scenes and piss poor acting. Avoid.

I agree. I'm halfway through S2 and I'm starting to think it's going off the boil. Maybe it picks up.
It does
Yeah it does and now I can’t wait for S3!
I genuinely put my hands to my face at the end of S2.

There has gotto be a S3 ....

This is the show that made me subscribe to Netflix back in the archives of time.
An absolute cracker of a show and it continues with great writing and plot twists.
I think I am going to watch again after many years!

As for the Kevin Spacey thing - yes he may be a reprobate, but on the topic of acting - he is fekin awesome.

Not sure if this has been mentioned previously but The Hunt is an excellent mystery + dark comedy. Think Battle Royle / The Purge / The Babysitter...

Won't say too much else otherwise it will spoil it but the lead is just perfect - not seen any shows with her before but she was excellent.

Great fun with plenty of twists!

In a future Tokyo, a teenage orphan hacker gets embroiled in a murder case connected to a drug ring after assisting outcast bikers, revealing the city's dark underbelly beneath its utopian facade

Only watched first episode so far, think my eyes just had an orgasm from the visuals so need a rest before the next one. Brain was not so enthusiastic about it though. Seems to be more about a visual showcase than something with any substance, but we will see.
You're not kidding! I just watched the first episode and it exactly as you said. What a rush!

Only just started watching it, and it's got potential. I'm enjoying it. It's got a lot of humour.

It's really good. Not sure if you have gone into it knowing the themes it covers, but I thought it was well done.

30 mins in now and I'm loving it.

"I'm not pushing you; I'm encouraging you forward" made me LOL. hehe

Also loving the little Easter Eggs... like the door noise from Doom at one point.

Update: Just finished now, and I bloody loved it.

There's been a lot of fantastic quality animation coming out over recent years & months, though I suspect people who'd have enjoyed a lot of it won't have seen it having been put off by the synopsis or early material.

I know I was in two minds when Arcane first came out whether I'd bother with a game series, lucky the trailer convinced me.

Or Dandadan - I think that one part of the first episode put some people off even though it's generally great, and the latter half of Ep.7 is genuinely excellent, proper beautiful award worthy stuff.

I watched about 6 episodes due to boredom and they're easy to watch.

I did skip some scenes with the kids. They're so incredibly fking annoying. I know that's probably the point but it's not funny, it's just annoying (to me anyway)

Very little of the show was genuinely funny to me. It was just a bit mental.

Probably won't watch anymore

LOUDERMILK has popped up on Netflix from Amazon. I love it and you’ll know if it’s for you by watching the first episode when they have to move the therapy session out of the church hall.

He’s a grumpy ex alcoholic therapist.
