I've been watching peep show recently again having last watched it as it came out.

Was a big fan at the time but find it very funny watching it back.
It's bloody brilliant, and always worth a full revisit every so often.

The Empress. Dramatisation set during the Hapsburg empire in Austria.
There seem to be 2 series already, don’t know how I missed it but we are halfway through series 1 and still haven’t looked at my phone

Resident Alien is a fun show so far, up to Ep5.

Good characters and some funny situations.

Same goes for Fresh Meat (same creators, but university / student based sit-com) - pretty much always have Peep Show or Fresh Meat on a repeat loop.

I remember Fresh Meat when it came out but I never watched again. Might give it a revisit

Do you mean you weren't a big fan at the time but find it funny watching it back, or you were a fan but find it funny now?

Peep Show is great biggrin

Fresh Meat also pretty good, although did go downhill a bit I think.

It was great at the time. We had a mate who looked and acted very similarly to David Mitchell.

It’s just brilliant rewatching comedy from 8-10+years ago just makes you think you couldn’t get away with that now

I was hoping somebody would mention this. I'm on episode 3. Plenty of chuckles to be had.

I watched the first couple of episodes last night and am enjoying it so far. Nicely weird and wacky, against a very 'normal' background.

Just discovered Young Sheldon, actually through TikTok clips, which is now where I find most series I end up getting into, on the series 6 already but I hear series 7 is on paramount

Toxic Town.

meh - this sort of thing has been done before and better, with better acting - i dont know why people think Jodie W is a great actor, she certainly cant carry this , plus her accent is all over the place....

also, great to see some classic cars, but some panning shots show a number of houses with solar panels, not sure period correct, given also that they are supposed to be in a rundown dump of a town post-mine-closures.
the OH spotted the ultrasound machine was modern too.

Dark Waters is much better IMHO

We enjoyed that. It made a change from the police procedurals that you can’t escape from when looking for drama on TV.

Somehow I'd missed that, not read the source material but looks interesting. I'll give that a watch.

Very personal story to me for lots of reasons. But I do remember my father coming home from work and asking my 10yo opinion on his plans for 'Wonder World' theme park which was referenced in some of the posters in the background of various shots.

S2 of The Recruit now streaming. Quirky but surprisingly engaging
Just seen that The Recruit hasn't been given a 3rd season. Gutted about that as it's so much better than The Night Agent which has been re commissioned.

Where did you see this? The ending looked like a perfect setup for S3.
