Just finished the two first series of Good Girls - follows the story of 3 fairly normal housewives who end up in a money laundering ring. Echoes of Breaking Bad, but with more light hearted moments, I enjoyed it far more than I expected when the wife put it on.
S3 is out at the end of the month, I'd say it's worth a watch.
Another vote for this. A really well done show - lots of lighthearted moments, but just about serious enough to avoid being a straight up comedy. Lots of highly entertaining characters. Enjoyed it far more than expected. Series 3 is already available from other sources and on Netflix from 26 July.S3 is out at the end of the month, I'd say it's worth a watch.
Just completed the first series of The Sinner.
Mostly enjoyed it with Bill Pullman (master of the sideways look) cast well as the flawed detective.
Once again though can’t help thinking it would have been better if compressed into four episodes rather than eight.
Some of it is genuinely disturbing and it’s not often I think that so bear that in mind.
7 sideways glances out of 10 lack fingernails (need to see it to understand that)

Queen and Adam Lambert....
Meh. Doesn't float my boat. Voice seems too thin and he's got this cheesey, overly shined, American appearance that just doesn't work. Too chintzy. He tries to dress all wacky and whereas Freddy could pull off a pvc police outfit or pair of tight white shorts and a neckerchief, this guy just comes across a bit of a try hard Julian Clary.
Incidentally. Just watching him sing Led Zeppelin's whole lotta love and he seems way way better at that. For queen he just seems lack gutteral punch and just sounds a bit generic. It's very stage show theatrical, so it works for some songs like live forever, but not others.

I keep thinking that Marc Martel would have been a better choice. He does a better Freddie than Freddie did! Meh. Doesn't float my boat. Something a bit different I've been enjoying Home Game
From Netflix "This docuseries profiles unique and dangerous traditional sports from around the world, as well as the communities and cultures where they thrive."
The Italian game in episode 1 looks brutal - a cross between bare-knuckle boxing, wrestling, rugby and football.

A young woman wakes up with a divine artifact in her back, and gets caught in a war between the forces of Heaven and Hell
I enjoyed the comics it's apparently (loosely) based on https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9059350/

It's Buffy for the 2020's with its CGI monster-of-the-week and message of girl power.
Just finished watching Dark. What a Roller Coaster of a TV show it ended up being.
I think I loved it, it was brilliant but at the same time I became frustrated to hell with it. In a good way if that's even possible.
Luckily for some of us who had no idea what the fk was going on, the German writers made it end in a way we can understand. I thank the writers for this as some shows just leave questions unanswered.

The Last Dance - 10 Part documentary about Michael "His Airness" Jordan and the Chicago Bulls rise from a nothing team to probably the greatest sports team in history.
As a basketball and MJ fan during the time, I knew about them and followed them, haven't watched Basketball for a long time but its great to be reminded how fantastic a sport it was/is and just how good Michael Jordan was.
You don't need an interest in the sport to watch it, its just a fantastic documentary from start to finish, beautifully put together with a great sound track as well.
Its always the same when you look at not just the greats in sport, but those very, very few who were above the greats, at how unbelievable driven they are, how failure is not even an thought to them. Everything was a challenge to MJ, a passing comment, not shaking hands etc, you piss him off and it will consume him until he destroys you on court, he was a force of nature, and you knew he was coming.
For me, the greatest sports star of my generation, possibly of all time.
Its an outstanding doc, well worth a watch and together with Ken Burns Vietnam doc, two of the best I have seen in a long time.
I watched the first 5 episodes so I gave it a chance....they where all the same, jumping around from his early days to the present day with not enough Jordan for me. The whole series could have been done in one two hour film in my opinion. I am a huge sports fan but I’d say you really need to be a die hard basketball fan to last the whole 10 episodes. As a basketball and MJ fan during the time, I knew about them and followed them, haven't watched Basketball for a long time but its great to be reminded how fantastic a sport it was/is and just how good Michael Jordan was.
