Something a bit different I've been enjoying Home Game

From Netflix "This docuseries profiles unique and dangerous traditional sports from around the world, as well as the communities and cultures where they thrive."

The Italian game in episode 1 looks brutal - a cross between bare-knuckle boxing, wrestling, rugby and football.
Really enjoyed this, thanks for the heads up.
Didn't they look fecking tough....!

Very interesting programme.

Netflix embroiled in controversy.

Apparently there is some campaign to ban 365 days. So watch it while you can if it interests you hehe

From the description of the movie it sounds like MeToo hasn't made it to Poland yet.
Alright cheers

Late to the party I'm sure but I recently started watching The Sinner which seems good so far.
Have watched the first two series, very good if a little over extended.
Some disturbing subject matter.

Agree about the first two but the third series is a disappointment IMO

For her alone I'm also.... erm... IN.

She is my "celebrity to get fked up with" crush. I reckon she'd be more than capable. She plays her parts so well that only a misspent youth soaked in various chemicals can provide. Or she's just a good actress... Either way...

I watched her in the film with her and Seth Rogan called Long Shot. Seemed to be some real chemistry there.

Been getting in to Deadwind today

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6616260

Nordic noir similar to the likes of The Bridge and The Killing, not as good as either but still worth a watch

I wasn't recommending anyone watch it hehe

Just a heads up that there is lots of controversy about it.

From the looks of it, will more appeal to those women who are into that genre of fiction.

Normally I'll sit thru all kinds of drivel if there's naked women involved, but even a perv like me couldn't cope with this. It's just too bad for words.

Magnetic.
Docu-film about various adrenaline junkies.
The first two sections about the lunatics surfing huge waves near a lighthouse in Portugal and the jet ski drivers who keep them alive, and the madmen who ski/board literally down mountains are absolutely beautiful to watch in a jaw gaping way.
There are further sections about kite surfers and mountain bikers but they come across as a bit tame until the final section which is about some certifiable New Zealanders who parachute down mountains but trying to skim the ground while doing aerobatics.
I only put it on to kill an hour and a half but ended up transfixed at the antics and even more so the fantastic filming.

If you haven't seen these then i recommend the 3 Don't Crack Under Pressure films.
Literally carbon copies of Magnetic, but i enjoyed them for all the reasons you listed above and the wing suit jumpers are insane! all the above look in great in 4K smile

The Old Guard

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7556122

Action/fantasy film based on a graphic novel, starring Charlize Theron
Released on July 10th, this Friday, looks like my cup of tea
Charlize Theron - thats good enough for me....
I don't know the graphic novel, but the poster is staying close to it...
Just finished watching this - really enjoyed it and it does have some nice touches.

Also thought it was pretty good, knew nothing about the novels but I thought they did a good job of portraying a bunch of immortals without making them out to be some sort of superhero types, just normal people for the most part but with a few skills that come with having lived for so long

Not a bad watch at all.
Wonder if they’ll carry on with the series.
