And because they pay licensing fees they rotate content so subscribers can watch new stuff.

The Trial of the Chicago 7

Aaron Sorkin seems to do no wrong.

Watched this on Saturday evening. Absolutely fantastic film. And a really interesting story, if you find yourself wanting to dig further into the detail and protagonists.

Rate it Nine defendants out of ten courtrooms. Possibly more.

I agree. We watched this on Saturday night. I wasn't too familiar with the subject matter but it was a fascinating case. I thought the actor playing defence lawyer put in a very subtle and well judged performance. I'm not normally one for court room drama but this is a great movie.

Superstore.

Absolutely awful, but nice and easy light hearted viewing.
I can watch it but the store manager is badly written, acted, cast and vocally challenging.
I can’t get past the idea than Glen is Kermit the Frog in human form.

My wife fell in love with Superstore, it’s pretty mindless and I’ll admit when it is funny, it’s very good. Mostly though I find it pretty miserable. I was glad when we finished all the series on Netflix. They’re only making 1 more.

Speaking of terrible voices, we’re watching White House Farm now.

The first episode is a bit slow, but it’s very good. Stephen Graham though.... great actor, but Welsh he isn’t!

I’ve got 1 episode left, once I’ve seen it I’m going to read up on the real case. If the DCI in charge wasn’t Welsh I’m going to have a hard time understanding why they made him use that terrible accent.

We've done 3 and agree on SG, confused us, I assume he has to be Welsh otherwise its a very confusing choice

I'm quite enjoying October Faction. It's nice to have a male lead who is basically older and a bit odd looking, gets a bit boring having the typical all-american good looking quarterback type as the lead in these sorts of shows.

Between the options of:

Hire Stephen Graham and don't make him try to be Welsh
Hire Stephen Graham and make him try to be Welsh
Hire someone else who is Welsh
Hire someone else who does a decent impression of being Welsh

They chose by far the least successful option. Shame, as SG is ace.

I know Covid has knackered most, if not all filming for the last year, but still... If I was announcing another price hike, I'd want to bring move to the party than this.

I don't know if that's the whole March release schedule, but I can't see a single thing I want to watch.

New series of Formula 1: Drive to Survive on March 19th. That'll do me.

Behind Her Eyes

Psychological drama that is oh so British in its style; the kind of series that we do very well over here - a mini series straight from ITV.

At first glance I assumed it would be 'one for my wife' as it seemed her cup of tea, but I was surprisingly drawn into it from the off.

Girl meets man in a bar, things start to happen.

Then.....

I can't say much more without spoilers. If you fancy giving it a go (and it is worth giving it a go), don't read anything about it at all and go in cold.

A strong start but 'then', so a 7.25/10 on balance overall.

Other people have enjoyed the 'then' and would score it higher. I could certainly understand if they did.

Wife has been watching this too,and I've been drawn in by the 'then',1 more episode and I want to see the resolution. Wasn't bothered about the affair bit.

Paradise PD next month is the only thing I am looking forward to, but no doubt will be seduced by flashy trailers

Watched the first 2 episodes of this and kind of enjoying it, but it's been very slow so far.

I am also on HBO Max and i would offer that the majority of the top films have moved from Amazon/Netflix and ended up on there.

We have started Behind Her Eyes.

Have not read anything about this . .... picked it on screen and pressed play.

After E1 No idea if it’s some thriller, comedy, romantic ...... but I like it!
Started it tonight, on ep2.

Really good! Can't figure out where it's going, but characters are drawing us in, great cast.
It was quite good, albeit with a little falter... felt like a BBC six-parter which are generally quite good.
Agreed with the falter, the middle bits feels a bit like padding it out.
That ending though... totally unexpected.

HBOMax owns all the Warner movies so I imagine they have a lot of big hitters.

Disney PLUS owns all Fox movies and have started putting some more adult content onto their service.

I know I’m late to the party (currently well into first season) but REALLY enjoying stts Creek.

Took 2/3 episodes to get into it but now me and the Mrs are hooked. The characters are fantastic and all of them have loveable qualities even though they’re pretty obnoxious at the same time. Superb writing, very funny and each episode is only just over 20 minutes long!
