He doesn’t have to work for food ......

...... but he is totally addicted to performing - anything, anywhere!
Add Hard Kill to the list, which got 0% on Rotten Tomatoes. Looking at his list of films, virtually everything in the last five years has been straight to DVD/VOD.

I tried to watch that once, managed 20 minsand turned it off, what an unmitigated turd of a film. Willis was there in body, but his acting ability and screen presence were washing their hair that day.

Love & Monsters

I really enjoyed it, good story and acting, plus the monsters were done well.

Anti-life. One of the worst films I’ve ever seen.

Had to keep watching it because it was so bad.

Ignore the CG, which is awful. I don’t think I’ve seen physical sets that bad for sometime.

Apparently it cost $33 million to make.

Why on earth would Bruce Willis get involved in something like that. Unless he got the whole $33 million, which would explain things.
I did a post on it last year.

Basically he just want massive pay checks for minimal work, one film, he didnt even leave his hotel to shoot his bits. 18 direct to video in the last 10 years.....

Right, so have just watched both This is a Robbery and Evil Genius and really liked both.

Are there any more multi-episode crime story series in the same vein that other could recommend, please?

Ta.

Evil Genius in particular is a touch disturbing in places; there's very few words to express just how "different" some people's lives are to 99% of the population.

I would also add The Ted Bundy Tapes to that list, and if you don't mind subtitles then Killer Ratings is shocking and brutal

American Murder: The Family Next Door
Unbelievable (it's a docu-drama I think, or maybe just a drama based on true events. Apologies if it's the latter!)
The Confession Killer

If me or the wife end up murdered the police will take one look at our Netflix 'previously watched' and instantly charge the other hehe

Just finished Snowpiercer season 1. Despite having to switch your brain off to not comprehend some of the utterly ridiculous flaws and concepts on show, I really enjoyed it. Connelly is excellent.

I put that Anti-Life on thinking it could be that bad.

The plot is worse than that Nick Cage classic Left Behind but it was the sets and effects that looked really shoddy, I mean 90's homemade, fan film bad. The Cryochamber the girl was in was particularly shoddy and some of the background paintings were vague and out of focus. The less said about the external ship shots the better. WTF was up with the lighing?

I guess all the money went to the cast as there were a number of faces I recognised beyond Bruce. I couldn't finish it.
Awful.

Late to the party as ever, but we watched Stranger Things 3 over the last few days, really enjoyed it, I thought they got the retro feel of the 80's spot on with lots of nice details.

ST4 is coming in 2022 apparently.

Very good 1st series. The animation blew me away - I grew up with 80’s style cartoons. Wasn’t expecting the hyper realistic work in these.

Looking forward to this.

Me and the wife are about 3 episodes away from the end of Happy! based on recommendations from here.

Yeah it's good. Tough to watch in places as some of the subject matter is particularly dark, and I was not a fan of them basing Bad Santa off those infernal Haribo adverts, but overall pretty enjoyable - especially the nursing home scene, which was brilliant.

Only problem I have with it is trying to explain the plot to people who haven't seen it. So it's a bout a girl who gets kidnapped who then sends her imaginary friends to help, who stumbles across an alcoholic hitman to go and save her. Cue many many blank looks and expressions of bewilderment.
