Finding Micheal

Documentary. Wealthy family try to find a family member who died near the summit of Everest 20 years ago.

Visually great; intercut with footage from the ill fated climb
Disney+ rather than Netflix but definitely worth a watch.
Ah crap - yes, you're right of course!

Finished The Night Agent this evening. Pretty solid. Bit typical American in places but overall definitely worth a watch I think.
Thought it started weak in terms of acting, but by the end I really liked it.
Set it up nicely for a new season with him being Bond like
We turned it off after the first scene as the cgi looked very poor. Gave it another try and made it to episode 2. It is entertaining but there are so many "why would you...?" moments that it has become part of our entertainment pointing them out.

Funeral Director

A 50 minute documentary about a funeral director in Ireland.

Some really interesting insights into the work.

There are some dead bodies (well, it is about a funeral director) which it feels quite odd to see on TV.

A bit typical American….I am on the first one and it is terrible. Cheese fest of unbelievable things so far.

I watched this about a year or so ago, actually found it very interesting.
Learnt a lot about the cremation process

I just thought that everything was incinerated and you literally were left with ashes. Didn’t realise that the bones don’t burn so have to be ground up afterwards which is what you actually end up with when you are given someone’s ‘ashes’

Have we had this yet?
I don't know how I missed this first time first time round.
Appeared on my Netflix this week.. pleasant enough little spy tale rather well done.
Part of a trilogy I'll now have to seek out.
Has elements of Bourne & Tinker Taylor Soldier Spy feel about...
But also a slightly TV movie gloss.. but I liked it.

Exactly what I thought. I've read stories it's the best thing on Netflix and how great it is. I'm 5 episodes in as the other half loves cr@p like that and it's like every other badly acted, miscast, generic, American twaddle.

Anyone been watching Outlast ?

Its a survival reality show (yeh I know) in Canada - its actually decent, some of them only lasted a few days! I watched the first few last night.. seems proper.

Seen this but not got round to it yet - I feel they need to be watched in the correct order - is that so?

Yes that was one. I'd like to think I knew but don't think I did smile.

According to IMDB. The two sequels to Page Eight (2011), Turks & Caicos (2014) and Salting the Battlefield (2014), were first announced by the BBC on 3rd May 2013. The back-to-back productions were both first broadcast in 2014.

Thanks for that - I didn't realise there were sequels. As I broadly enjoyed Page Eight, I'll track them down ....

Finished it, the episodes are short.

It's not bad and the overt weirdness is fine, I think it's the slightly creepy influence Pricilla Presley has clearly had over some of it that puts me off it a bit.

The general batst insanity of so much of the plot is OK; don't look for rationality in it, just treat it as the drug addled dream of someone with an interest in Elvis.
