Rory Reid - used to be on that Top Gear show. Now?
Think he's doing youtube stuff for Auto Express now, Bits of presenting on the Goodwood coverage too
Yes, I saw him on the Goodwood show at the weekend. It reminded me that he's a much better and more knowledgeable presenter than that Paddy McGobste on TG.
If Top Gear was a car show rather than an entertainment show with cars in it he’d probably still be there.

Ah, Terry Christian, he of the striking Manc accent, he made
my Cockney tones sound like those of Brian Sewell.

I don't think he's been seen again since the episode of his late night show when he tried to take the micky out of Lemmy from Motörhead. Not a wise move.

He's been on something recently, I just can't remember what it was. And by "recently", it could be a couple of years back.

Louise Germaine (Sylvia Berry, in Lipstick on Your Collar 1993). She did Lipstick... and very little else bar a couple of dodgy videos. Beautiful, but dim might be a fair description.

Rory does Autotraders car reviews on youtube - worth a look.

He got dropped when Bear Grylls decided to turn his 'genre' into a whole load of false jeopardy. A shame because he had good programs, which gave insights in to all sorts of stuff, whereas now, its all made to be ' exciting' , and it just isn't. Another casualty of TV where the director's take on 'reality' ruins a good format.

She posed for Mayfair magazine and then it turned up she was 15 at the time

He's still doing his thing, running survival and bushcraft courses, just not in front of a tv camera.

I'm led to believe that Mears does not have a high opinion of Grylls. Was'nt he also brought it to track down raoul moat?

I am not surprised.

Mears for me was always easy watching , pleasant, and as I have said before, totally devoid of false jeopardy, which for me is a big thing.

Trouble is people want more, so you have to go bigger , which is not better, IMO, so you end up with Grylls and Ed Stafford and god knows who else .

I think he still has something to offer, but you wont get it made because he isn't exciting enough any more, which is a shame.

Its ironic that his type of content is blowing up on You Tube, some great stuff to enjoy for exactly the same reason that Mears made it popular.

Ray Mears is one of my favourite people on TV. I love the fact that while Bear Grills is showing you how to eat raw snake guts, Mears is cooking a really nice rabbit stew with herbs and 2 veg.

He was a socialist rent a gob for GMTV for a while before the last election.
