I read the title of this thread and without even seeing any posts, I immediately thought of Seagal. I'd like to also nominate Vin Diesel.
Vin diesel’s action stuff is quite poor but he’s much better at his tv stuff. Got to say he’s excellent in coach trip.

Another vote for Seagal.

Can't act.
Films are 99% garbage.
Total ahole in real life.

Not many who hit all three.

Yep, that was going to be my shout. Laughably slow and wooden in the recent F&F films. In one of them he fights Statham, and he makes Statham look like Bruce Lee.
Actually Jason Statham is a very good martial artist. Used to be a regular kick boxer and was trained by a guy I used to go to in London. Very committed to it, and pretty skilful.

Seagal all the way. Nobody else comes close.

Any other nominations should start with "If I couldn't choose Seagal..."

Liam Neeson deserves a mention too.

Later Steven Seagal films are great, once he's got a bit chunky to move too much.

Not only do the fight sequences conform to the "right lads, let's attack him one at once" rule, but the baddies literally have to run right up to him while he stands stock still and lets them.

No! I watched the Taken trilogy on E4 this week and thoroughly enjoyed each one. Again.

Plus I thought Unknown was great. And I quite enjoyed the air marshal one.

I don’t rule out I may have poor taste in films...

Another vote for Seagal. Under Siege is OK, anything else is pants. You can always tell when he's trying to act, he goes cross-eyed with the effort.

I thought under siege was alright and also exit wounds ok. Most of his others though are laughably awful.

Are we talking about the same JCVD that punched out the snake in Hard Target?

How can anyone who punches a venomous snake unconscious, fall into the category of worst action star. Clearly a fking legend.

Hulk Hogan, now there's someone who shouldn't have crossed over into films (along with John Cena)

Steven Seagal comes across as a psychopath if you read some of the stories about him.

Not sure if it's true or not, but the story about him being choked out and soiling himself after challenging a stuntman is possibly my favourite.

I'll agree with HH (Thunder in Paradise is still floating around in my memory like a bad smell, execrable film), Cena on the other hand was quite enjoyable in Blockers (I too enjoy bad films!)

Had a quick look on IMDb

Seagal - 57 films, think I've seen his first 10 rest were probably straight to dvd.

Van Damme - 74 films, probably seen about 15 odd of those, the rest are probably ste.

Statham - surprisingly 52 acting credits, I think he appears in a lot of higher quality movies so I've seen quite a few of them.

Whoever said Arnie, no he is probably one of the best and has probably more better films than poor ones.

Made a change seeing him in a more recent film called Aftermath about a father who loses he's family in a airplane crash due to a screwup from an air traffic controller, and then him dealing with their deaths and debating whether he should take revenge on the ATC

daniel craig, it's the fact that he thinks he can act which is the problem.

If he understood he's on a par with dolph lundgren it would allow his short comings to be more forgivable

Soon as I saw the thread title I thought of Seagal.
Though Nicholas Cage isn't much better, then theres Dolph Lundgren and Van Damme...
