It is no Elf or Step Brothers, but a good natured comedy about the Eurovision Song Contest. Not perfect, but worth a watch.

Just pretend it is Eurovision weekend - and you will enjoy the film.

Ya Ya Ding Dong!

Yes, but so good because the Eurovision is terrible and this captures that terrible greatness perfectly.

If you see what I mean.

I'd class it as a good 'B' rated movie.
I like Will Ferrell films, I don't tire of his type of humour. This film isn't great, but has a few funny scenes and is worth a watch if you like Ferrell.

funny film, don't know if americans will get what the ESC is all about, and why europeans love - hate the whole, silly thing.

IIRC Ferrell himself was completely unaware of it until he married a Swede - he loves it now, hence the movie.

I thought it was good, yes its terrible but that adds to the charm.

It feels very similar to blades of glory.

I can see why some people don’t like it. However I thought it was genius and really captured Euro Vision. It was funny, sad, cringey, cheesy, exactly why I like watching Euro Vision.

The wife hated it.

We managed half an hour, our bar is very low, utter crap and we like Will Ferrell.

I enjoyed it and so did my teenage children. It’s unusual to find something we all like (46 year old, 16 year old boy and a 13 year old girl).

And yes, we are all singing JaJa Ding Dong.

I’m not a fan of Eurovision, but I genuinely don’t think I laughed once.

Some of his stuff is quite funny, but the roles where he adopts a slight learning difficulty persona, such as this and step brothers I don’t like.

I don’t think the hdr helped things either. The main Characters looked very old. The Iceland scenes (if it was filmed there) looked good though.

Shame, as I fancied some mindless nonsense and found it very unfunny.

Did you miss the beginning when they watch ABBA win? The characters are old. If anything Rachel Mcadam is a decade too young
