The Yorkshire Vet - can't get enough of this programme, the characters make it - Peter just comes over a really lovely man with both humans and animals

Julia Bradbury's Walks - again love it and what's not to like about watching Julia in walking gear!

Quite liked the re runs of Michael Palin's 'around the world'

...can't think of any others

I love The Goldbergs - The 80's part of it really appeals and is recognisable, that it splices in to the writer's (?) real life with actual historical video makes it all the more real. Especially when they talk to some of the real characters that it's based on and shows accuracy.

Also, Young Sheldon - I think it's far better than TBBT and much more enjoyable.

Good call on the Goldbergs.

In a similar vein 'the Middle' and 'Bob's burgers' (although the later is a cartoon so not sure if that really qualifies)

Bangers n Cash is one for me, I like the relaxed nature of the programme and lack of forced jeopardy, the old cars too of course!

The Detectorists had a tangible effect on my mood when it used to be on, the folky theme, countryside views and laidback humour were truly uplifting.

Sitting down with a cup of tea with James May's The Reassembler. Most relaxing and oddly satisfying.

Saving Lives at Sea. Occasionally they tell you about some of the things that go wrong (quite rightly, I think) but the missions they show always work out and are often quite exciting.

Ambulance.

Latest series is coming to an end on BBC1.
Pretty brutal and at times but showcases the best in humanity.
But then I’m biased wink

Any of James May's "side projects" to be honest. Man Lab or Toy Stories are rather enjoyable and relaxing to watch.

Barnwood Builders for me - 6 self proclaimed hillbillies taking down pioneer log cabins & then often in a later show rebuilding it somewhere else. Unusually for an american show there's none of this false jeopardy nonsense to be endured either.

Am I wrong for enjoying Michael Portillo's train programme - Something about it is feel-goody because you can feel his love for trains. There's no reality TV nonsense, no jeopardy stuff, no crap - Just geeky train stuff
