Missed this, Matt Farah had his father on the SmokingTire podcast earlier on in the week
Watched it live, it was super interesting. Worth the 90 minutes.

I bet Shmee has got his filming so on point now that he's very efficient at churning one video after another. But his content and filming style has not changed one bit because of it and I'd say that's one of the culprits here.

He should buy his bird a proper DSLR and let film him instead of the raw POV stuff. IDK. Just needs a proper make over. Why is she hiding behind the camera on YT but is being plastered all over IG with a creepy nickname anyway? Püppi150 behind the schmeenes. Gimme a break, man

Anything has to be better than the god awful van reviews he was doing for What Car.

I recently discovered 'It's Joel'. I believe he worked with STG Sam a few years back...

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgTXd9mdtB4IYjzAL...

Some very good entertaining videos.

AdamC is still putting out good content, even videos focusing around cars I'm not all that interesting are still very watchable because of his sense of humour narrating them..

https://www.youtube.com/user/AdamC3046

Even when he turned his hand to reviewing it was refreshing and different - https://youtu.be/q-jq3iklM7E

Shmee also seems to have a large amount of likes and a relatively low amount of comments on instagram hmmmm is someone buying likes i wonder…

His channel views have dropped of a lot especially as he has mentioned on this thread i believe that he wanted to spend more time in the US to grow his channel. Guess it didnt.

TGE is another one whos views have tanked i feel he had his peak a couple of years ago and his audience has matured and lost interest.

Main reason for spending time in the US is because ad rates are higher - in recent interviews he has mentioned that his US audience is now three times the size of his UK audience.

Tim's videos are just more varied than others especially USA channels, they tend to just have a project or projects so people will just watch the progress of a car from start to finish, like the stuff Paul/SOL puts out,

talks about getting new car
ten videos of doing stuff to car, wrapping, new wheels, new exhaust, new turbo etc etc
a few videos on what they like and dislike
thinking of getting rid of the car
why they sold the car
talks about getting new car
etc
etc
etcetcetcetc..................................

So with Tim I think if the car in the title of the video isn't something you are interested in then people will just skip the video.

I think that when the garage is up and running there could be a bit more constancy in some of the content.

I honestly don't know why Tim doesn't get a RWB 911, there would be a huge amount of content in the build of the car and the car would also be a draw on videos and where he took the car, also a merch opportunity, it would be a keeper car as well and a permanent Porsche in the garage.

Probably the same reason that most people with good eyesight don't get one.

Wrong, look at monthly views the trend is downwards over the past 2 years.

Look at the yesterday's M5CS review for example and compare it to Joe Achilles.

Joe has plenty of external rolling shots and is much more adept at describing how the car drives.

Shmee by comparison is just phoning it in at this point. There's been little to no evolution in his content. No drive to seemingly improve his art. Even Harry dumps his missus at the roadside to film some drivebys.

And this is reflected that after a day Joe and Shmee have pretty similar view numbers despite Shmee having 15 times more subscribers.

Joe's channel is very much orientated towards new performance German car content - he will always punch above his weight with that material, nature of the beast.

I would be exceedingly happy to get Tim's numbers while "phoning it in".

Love the experts on here banging on about people phoning it in - I assume your channels are doing very well since you’re so well versed in how to do YouTube rofl

Ahh yes I presume you never comment on how good a BBC TV show is? Or I guess you must make TV shows.

Not really a stretch to critique the seeming lack of effort compared to other channels is it?

Look at Jayemm, always has at least a couple of drive by shots and has multiple external cameras, exhaust mics etc. Shmee only ever has 2 shots one of his face and one looking forward, many people here have criticised his reviews as boring maybe that's part of the reason. Constructive criticism should always be welcomed tbh.

Can’t say I’ve ever felt the need to question the production quality. Doubt you have either yet YouTube makes it fair game it seems.
