I'm going to put this in spoilers but it's not about anything that happened in this show.
Isn't Vision dead at the end of Infinity War? So this is either set earlier or it's all in Wanda's head or being put there by someone else.
Watching this, (episode spoiler) my theory is you may be correct, Vision is dead and it looks like Wanda has memory loss and is creating this reality with her powers, going by the fact that she rewound the ending of episode 2 and then changed everything to colour.Isn't Vision dead at the end of Infinity War? So this is either set earlier or it's all in Wanda's head or being put there by someone else.
I'm guessing she is captured by Hydra and they may be experimenting on her and observing her like The Truman Show. It also looks like someone is externally trying to help her but not sure who that might be yet.
Going back to Captain America Winter Soldier end credits scene when Hydra was talking about training spies and then Wanda & Quicksilver were revealed it could be they were programmed like Bucky and could be triggered via a code word hence she has been captured again now and they are trying to steal her powers or something.

Black Widow dies in End Game and yet there's a film coming out of her back story. I'm not sure where WandaVision fits in, I haven't seen it yet but I expect the Black Widow film will be like the Han Solo of First Avenger movies, it'll be a film produced out of sequence with it's place in the narrative time lineIsn't Vision dead at the end of Infinity War? I know it changes but I actively try to avoid trailers to movies I wanna watch
Indeed. I assume the trailer has revealed more than we've seen so far. I've loved watching the first two episodes with no idea what is going on or about to happen.I'd love to read up on theories etc from the first two episodes alone, but I assume most articles are going to refer to know things from the trailer too.
There is a lot going on though, for example so much to take from the dinner scene in episode 1 alone. everyone seemed powerless until Wanda asked Vision to step in, and the wife constantly saying 'stop it' was creepy as hell and can be read in a few ways. Also a major nod to a Marvel storyline from the comics in there.
I'm probably in a minority of wanting the suspense to be drawn out further, the two episodes were only just over an hour in total. Conventional MCU stuff is extremely well catered for, I'm enjoying that they have the freedom to likely upset 50% of their audience by going somewhere else entirely.

For reasons yet unexplained - Wanda and Vision are living their lives in black and white in a 1950's sitcom in the style of Bewitched, I dream of Genie. etc.
as Vision is dead im calling this as some sort of Superhero mental health breakdownJust my theory, but better to spoilerise it i guess than putting it in plain
sight
I might need to rewatch it, but is there a scene in episode 2 that also breaks from the format, as per the choking scene in the first one? That briefly has a modern camera, shallow depth of field, tighter angle/filming technique etc
It jumped out at me in Ep1 but I don't recall anything in Ep2, unless it happened during the manhole cover bit at the end.

I'm liking it so far, there's definitely something going on that hasn't been fully revealed yet. As page3 asked about whether it helps to have watched the other Marvel stuff, I think that's a big fat yes. Spoilers if you haven't watched both episodes of Wandavision yet, but New Rockstars are doing the breakdown and Easter egg videos as they did with The Mandalorian and other Marvel/Star Wars/Comic stuff.

Some of their ideas might end up being 2+2=5, it's hard to tell what might be happening and what might be false this early on in the series. There's some interesting stuff though relating to MCU films and comics.

My sixteen year old Marvel crazy daughter opines-
Seen several theories. Seems she is imprisoned, either by herself to cope with her grief, SWORD, or hydra, and that she still has some control over it, as anyone who breaks the happy bubble gets hurt and she rewinds the beekeeper thing. Maybe various organisations are trying to reach her? The voice was the FBI agent from ant man 2.
Apparently main clues are in ‘commercials’; first one was reminiscent of a certain stark industries missile, and the second one is strucker. So maybe they’re the closest thing to her actual memories? It’s unclear how much she remembers pre-sitcom. Lots of theories that agnes is a comic character that worked for a demon
Thank you for coming to my ted talk 😆

I wonder if they will use her ‘snap’ with reality as the gateway to introduce both mutants and possibly the Fantastic four?
I read an interesting treatment for a Fantastic 4 intro into the MCU. Basically, they were already a well known team of superhero’s in the 1960’s - celebrities and famous the world over. Thanks to Mr Fantastic their tech was ahead then of even what Stark has now- albeit Reed never made weapons. The world is bright, full of optimism and colour. Like Man Men but with less angst. Reed discovers the negative zone, and they disappeared. They reappear 60 years later to a world that’s much darker, frightened, less optimistic. They remember Cap and Hank Pym. They haven’t aged and the world has forgotten they ever existed. What’s happened?
