Great episode this week and a lot of questions answered.

Last episode of the series next week, however there's a lot of loose ends still to be tied up.
I'm not sure how they will fit it all into 40 odd mins so hopefully it's got a longer runtime.

Eight episodes in and still waiting for some sort of plot. Unfortunately it just hasn’t happened. D3spite what people have said (including here) and what they’ve written, this really is just rubbish. Of course the intelligenia will have their theories and dismissals of the non believers, but it’s just plain rubbish.

I’ve wanted to believe, and I’ve tried hard to concentrate, but all I see is emperor’s new clothes. So enjoy everyone, and I hope it reveals what you want it to, but for me it’s just plain rubbish, so I as far as this thread’s concerned I wish you all good luck and I’ll bow out from here and look elsewhere.
Fantastic effort 8/10 biggrin

So i went back and watched the trailers, there's some bits that haven't happened yet, 1'04-1:07 & 1'12-1'17 as well as a couple of other bits

What are you laughing at?

TL ;DR if it wasn’t for Marvel it wouldn’t last five minutes in the ‘real world’.

Good luck !
Still not really getting this. It’s like picking a chapter out of a book and complaining that without the rest of it no one would like this chapter.

I guess it’s true, but it totally misses the point of building the MCU in the first place.

It’s insane.

Of course it wouldn’t last outside the MCU!

How are people thinking it’s just a standalone show?
Ten years of stuff has been building up to it.

I'm finding it less compelling as a series than The Mandalorian.

There is just too much "backstory" and "canon" going on that I really don't care about - I watch MCU films, but just can't be arsed with learning the "universe". So she's (BIG REVEAL MUSIC) "the Scarlet Witch" - woohoo, means nothing to me.

I similarly don't give a crap about Star Wars canon, but The Mandalorian does a much better job of working on it's own two feet.

I might have missed this bit but who put the letter on her car after visiting SWORD?

Was it supposed to be Hayward? Was he trying to push her into have a breakdown so he could get the energy for Vision 2.0? I notice that Wanda’s version was of visiting SWORD was a little different to the CCTV version Hayward showed earlier in the series

And for the people saying it’s not watchable you’re probably right, if you’ve never really bought into the MCU then you’re not going to be a fan of this. Personally I think it’s still watchable on its own but I can see how you wouldn’t engage with it as fully if you’re not a fan of the MCU or Marvel

The 'big reveal' at the end of this episode was the only let down for us. My wife said as soon as the credits rolled 'well we knew that already!'

I get that it's a back story thing, but laboured the obvious a bit too much.

Otherwise good episode.

She did. She was carrying it with her when she went to visit Vision’s body. It was the title deed to the property that Vision had bought for them to be their ‘forever home’ in Westview.

Tend to agree - I think if I was much more familiar with the comics then the “big reveal” would have had an impact, but all I know of Marvel is the films and a few Agents of SHIELD episodes...

I assume / imagine that this series is basically setting the groundwork to “power up” this character to align with the comics?

My assumption is that Hayward’s version was manipulated to make Wanda look like the ‘big bad’ in the presentation he was doing.

So you’ll watch eight episodes and give up, when there’s only one episode left, that will undoubtedly tie everything up and lead into the next Phase of the whole MCU. But yeah, give up now. Numpty.

Ah ha. That makes sense, I knew what it was but I didn’t see her with it before she went into SWORD so assumed someone had placed it in the car to trigger her or something

The end of the episode or the credits scene? (Like last week, after the main credits, before the international credits)

I feel a little let down to be honest.

The recasting of Pietro opened loads of possibilities for how the story could go. I speculated it was Marvel trolling the audience and apparently I was right.

Now it looks as though it’s going to end with the superman 3 junk yard fight....

It could be the good folk at Marvel just fking with us before blowing us away with huge surprises. I hope so.

I know I’m in the minority here, but I don’t want any of the cast from the Fox Xmen films to be in the MCU. That franchise was a curate's egg, and even most of the good parts have gone off. I feel the same about the Sony Spider-Man and FF, although it seems like we are going to get a merger of the Spider-Man actors. (I suspect that’s Sony’s decision.)
