I love 1940s style "film noir" and have very recently found a whole treasure trove of such films free to watch on You Tube. I watched two in a row on Friday.

What a great recollection. I thoroughly enjoyed that. Thanks for posting.
Thank you. P5 took me back. I should have thanked him.
My pleasure Derek and I enjoyed reading your 'Blow Up' post. Some folk easily dismiss it and several other '60s films as dated, pretentious tosh, but they all struck a chord with me growing up and seeing them again on TV later on. Later when I lived in Hammersmith Sarah Miles bought a house along Chiswick Mall and I used to see her walking about occasionally.

I tend to go through phases with certain types of film, I'm in the middle of an American phase at the moment, enjoying 'Point Black', 'American Graffiti', 'Two Lane Blacktop' etc but it won't be long before I'm back onto 'Blow Up', 'Performance' etc again. I worked a train through Kensington Olympia last week it always reminds me of 'Performance', as the scene where James Fox waits for his train to the West Country was filmed in the old buffet there on the northbound platform.
