Sorry about the random post but this has been bothering me for weeks!

What’s the film were one character asks another something like what they dream about or what’s going on in their head. They just say a Mexican man lives there. Then there’s some trumpet music and a mariachi dancing.

The dancing trumpet playing mariachi then appears a few times. Then I think in the end haunts the bad guy or the bad guy escapes but can’t get the trumpet playing mariachi out of his head. I think maybe he sees him in the rear view mirror...

It’s a comedy movie as far as I remember.

Every time the Mexican mariachi appears a song just like this play...

It’s driving me crazy remembering the tune and the dancing Mexican..but not the movie or the actors! Just the trumpet mariachi and tune!

I'm guessing but could it be The Three Amigos?

It’s a fairly recent film I think. Well last 10 years

Perhaps a violent comedy like seven psychopaths or something along those lines.

Damn it, this is so frustrating as I can picture the Mexican dancing and hear the music. But nothing else from the film! I’ve tried googling all sorts and image searching and YouTube clips!

The funny thing is that this started last weekend. I’d had a few beers and spotted this little red plastic sombrero hat....the lid on a tequila bottle. Straight away the little Mexican from this film dancing and the little tune! Hahaaa Then much tequila was drunk hahahaaaaa I have to know the movie!!

Some comedies set in Mexico.
Up in Smoke.
Nacho Libre
El Mariachi
Three Amigos
Born in East LA

Need a little more to go on, and I'll ask some of my Mexican friends.

I’m almost certain the movie isn’t even set in Mexico!

It just one Mexican mariachi in someone’s dream, imagination or hallucination.

It might even be a stoner comedy and every time one gets high he hallucinates the trumpet playing mariachi...
