Clarkson’s Farm
Discussion
I’ve just watched and really quite enjoyed this. If nothing else it’s proof that he and Wilman are tv gold and know exactly what works. Kaleb was great and I don’t think the London bit was especially exploitative as he been mentioned. I also liked that on the sky shots you could see his proper Range Rover!
It certainly helps paint the life of a man who has done well over the years.

Agreed. It looks too much like a footballers mansion.
What did you expect it to look like?Edited by 98elise on Thursday 18th November 08:29

Looks a lot nicer from that angle than the one above that all the plebs will see.Architects are all such hacks, you'd think they'd have a better stab at a classically proportioned house than that? I suppose its preferable to the shed/glass cube aesthetic that Kevin McCloud seems to find so desirable.

Season two must be incoming soon - there's been a notable increase in social media activity (or maybe it's just the YT algorithm has decided I need to see more of Clarkson and Kaleb).
Sadly but predictably it looks like Kaleb has become a bit of a celeb - book deal done and written, his own cider launched alongside Clarkson's lager, 1.1 million followers on Insta etc.
I'm looking forwards to series 2 but fearing it will have lost some of the innocent charm of series 1.

Saw him at one of the agricultural shows with all his mates, dressed in their identical gear, new Schoffle jackets, jeans, dealer boots etc. He was doing some presenting of a prize or something, and the ring announcer kept trying to get him to do stuff, very evidently "celeb" status and seemed to enjoy the attention. He's bigger than he appears on TV though, just looks shorter next to Clarkson. 48k said:

It's the paradox of all reality shows; how to maintain the perception of financial jeopardy/reality, whilst ignoring all the money made by being on the TV show and new found celebrity.Sadly but predictably it looks like Kaleb has become a bit of a celeb - book deal done and written, his own cider launched alongside Clarkson's lager, 1.1 million followers on Insta etc.

Fans are a neccessary evil.... ( or otherwise )
Met Henry Winkler (more than once). Hey! Absolutely has all the time in the world for his fans.
Some member posted 6+ months ago - about he and his yound kid meeting a former Dr Who.
But I get how it can be detrimental to your wellbeing.
I recall an interview with Dirk Benedict ( Face from the A Team ) - he would much rather have had money than fame.

I met James may in Hammersmith - he couldn’t even be nice to my 5 year old son, who said hello to him. Met Henry Winkler (more than once). Hey! Absolutely has all the time in the world for his fans.
