I see Yanni has himself a cybertruck. It’s going to be interesting to see if he can get it past the VOSA IVA test.

Not a chance me thinks…….
I posted about it a few days ago. You do wonder if that's why the chap he bought it off sold it to him. If it was that easy I'm sure Elon would be punting them out here already.
Now popped up on my recommendations a Shmee video.
Won’t be watching but yeah.
It’s clearly a get me views video.
Has he just borrowed the truck ?
He won’t get an MOT, Won’t be able to tax it or Insure it as doesn’t pass the tests to be legal in the EU.
Then imagine getting spares or servicing it or tyres. Assume no UK people stock the tyres.

Just a big sham and a look at me show. A match made in heaven.
It will get some Urban wheels and tyres, a pink wrap and then fail the IVA spectacularly. Then, as suggested further up the thread, shipped back to Albania with the original owner, having done it`s job.
It's had edge protectors fitted over all the exposed steel edges, so at least some effort is being made for the IVA. Rear lights might be tricky
I'd have thought the rear lights would be easy enough to sort. The problem would be making them look half decent and not just bolt on some trailer lights. I've seen some older US cars that have used motorbike indicators bolted under the rear bumper, which didn't look too bad, but I doubt that would work on a Cybertruck.

Could get lucky and have the thing terminally st itself before it gets much further - it would be far from the first time and it's a long way from anyone who could fix it, let alone under warranty.

IIRC in one of the videos a Tesla mechanic said he could access it on his laptop, but couldn't do much when in there.

Must admit I really like Tim’s 12 Cylinder spec
It's bold ... but I agree I think it really works
It's a classy spec. Not something you can say about some of his recent ones!

Haven’t seen it discussed here but Motortrend have dropped a load of content including roadkill. It’s not been free for a while and I don’t think you could sub from the UK but they did some good content.

Hopefully the people working for them can do something with YouTube.

It got mentioned a few pages ago. I used to really enjoy roadkill until they stopped us watching it for some reason.

The latest video on Finnegans garage is worth watching, it’s following them while they do drag week, but Finnegan has spent a lot of money getting it professional looking.

I imagine once you are used to filming with a team, going solo would feel a massive downgrade.

Only found him the other day after the XJS video was in my recommendations.
Hope he gets it running properly.

No. But after enough posts like that, it just needs calling out for the st that it is.

It's a shame really, because posters like this can easily derail a thread, for seemingly no reason at all.

The channel is definitely worth a look, interesting cars, diy skills, likeable chap.

I got a DM after I said something similar saying he's a bit of a lonely guy and hasn't been well for a number of years since his wife left and he lost custody of his kids. So best to just ignore him and let him do whatever he needs to get him through the day.

Follwing the recent talk about JWW/Sugar Daddy Darren and Logic VPN and NVN, i noticed this story on the PH front page:

https://www.pistonheads.com/news/ph-britishcars/br...

Quick check on companies house and sure enough DRVN Automotive is another new company with Darren and JWW as Directors. Wonder how long this one will last?

You want us to believe that every time a new company gets a mention on the PH front page, you feel compelled to rush over to Companies House to check on the directors? That must keep you busy. No, I think it’s rather in your capacity as JWW/D.McDermott’s #1 hater/stalker (I’ll give you the nod over Shmee/TGE), that you knew already, before checking on companies house, of their involvement. It’s been hardly a secret for months. Darren had nothing to do with NVN, btw.
