Not read the books, although I may now as I do like David Gemmell, George RR Martin, Joe Abercrombie, so coming into it cold. I quite like the show, enjoying the pace. The "world" seems well constructed and,so far, the magic laws consistent

I lost interest halfway through the second episode but after reading this thread I’m 2/3rds of the way through the first (audio)book and I’m enjoying it much more.

Still no date for series 2, but should be towards the end of this year. Just heard there's going to be a series 3.

Watched the first 3, slow start but really picked up in the second episode. A lot more going on.

Caught up with the first 3 of the new season last night. Pretty good.

I thought about rereading the series but I tried the first again a couple of years ago and it was not great.

The first book is one of the weakest in the series as he hasn't found his own "voice" .

I've read the whole series before and remember that I found the world building to be astonishing in general at the time. I might just skip the first book and try again. I don't have the time to dig through 1000 pages of writing I don't enjoy

Only 1 episode left. It's been very good and a lot more possible world building, introducing lots of baddies and possible allies.
I can see it going for several series, hopefully.

Very good and a great finish that left me wanting more. Great world building, cast, acting and effects. I hope they adapt all the books.
