Nobody is questioning his back catalogue. What we are questioning is the quality of the performance and just because he was a Beatle and is still performing at 80yo is no reason for him to headline.
It was an absolutely fking insanely brilliant show though. Repeatedly being reviewed today as possibly the greatest ever Glastonbury headliner performance. Of course, you have a right to your opinion, even if it's wrong.

So who is to blame for the reason for not showing it live and also who is to blame for it not being available on iPlayer today?
Is it McCartney management or is it the BBC?
I could have recorded it last night but didn't bother as everything else is on iPlayer and I along with many others assumed it would be available today.
it's contractual, agreements are made, palms greased, BBC and Macca agree to televise Is it McCartney management or is it the BBC?

all or part of his set, but macca's management insist it not be available on i-player.
i remember the BBC only televised 35 mins of U2's set a few years back, but it was on I - player for a few weeks.

It seems to have just pissed off a lot of people for no reason. A lot of goodwill has been lost needlessly.

C'mon show some level of emotional maturity. Of course, you have a right to your opinion, even if it's wrong.
Peat & Diesel are on right now!

Not quite Macca's level but they are one of my favourites.

The elephant in the room with Glastonbury is that the audience is pretty much exclusively white.
But festivals always are - ethnic minorities just don't do the camping thing for some reason.
I was thinking the same at the Elton John Hyde Park gig on Friday, it was probably the least ethnically diverse part of London. 50% of the audience looked exactly like the'd just posted some fishing job adverts on LinkedIn, then changed into their chino shorts and quiffed up their barnet. But festivals always are - ethnic minorities just don't do the camping thing for some reason.

I agree, I have been to a few Hyde park concerts over the years and yep the only non-white faces are either in the bands or serving the beers. Which I guess means that it is not just a camping thing.

Steady on Lenny Henry, it’s not an elephant at all, anyone can go if they buy a ticket. But festivals always are - ethnic minorities just don't do the camping thing for some reason.
BBC supposedly "live" coverage on iPlayer just dumps one artist mid-way thru their set with some smarmy DJ justifying their all expenses paid (by me) to explain they're going to go to another artist I have zero fking interest in.
Are the BBC short of servers and bandwidth? Send fewer fking freeloading DJs to Festivals then!

Of course they can. I am just wondering why they so clearly have no interest in doing so.272BHP said:

The UK is majority white, and the Glastonbury crowd isn't necessarily representative.
Fwiw, I've been to festivals with people from ethnic minorities, although it hadn't really struck me until now.l, as they are just friends of mine.
Ps. There appear to be far more black and Asian people camping, caravanning, cycling, walking etc. nowadays than there used to be.

If PH had been around in 1969, there would have been shrugs that it wasn't Mars and complaints about the lighting, acoustics and the lyrics at the moon landings.
