I watched Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds and they were ok but his voice was to far back in the sound mix meaning his vocals were too quiet - as was the lady playing the scissors hehe
I had never heard of Yungblud and I thought they sounded like a poor punk revival band. I'm of the age that remembers the Pistols, who were much better at it... However, question for the musicians among us: do you think they had a tape machine playing a backing track? The band was just a drummer and a guitarist yet I could clearly hear bass guitar and some keyboards. Or... is there some sort of computer gizmo these days that generates a bass line according to what the guitarist is playing? confused
As I mentioned earlier, Noel's set was actually pretty good - I was amused though that the crowd needed some Oasis to get going. The scissors ... I liked that to be fair .. interesting sound.

I saw the Pistols last in Brixton Academy on the night it was filmed for DVD et al... That was a bloody good gig ...

Elbow got the memo - lift everyone. And they did. Great sing-song.

Grian Chatten, Fontaines dc frontman ended their great set with a dead-pan remark 'Don't know if you know, but Diana Ross is on the main stage'. Love him! I'm proud to be a Dubliner.

Re Paul McCartney
There is a file availlable that shows the performance in a good light
My second youngetrst who loves the Beatles is watching it now and thinks its great.
On a reasonably large 65" screen it looks good and sounds good the comments about the soundmix are interresting on the songs I have seen/heard it sounds quite reasonable

With regards to the wider question of i player. I think the BBc have not done themselves proud.
Considering one of the plans it to move into streaming they seem to be somewhere behind other players

Unfortunately I have not been able to find a source for the Lilly Allen performance ............so far

Jesus, it's painful watching Diana Ross murder her catalogue.... like a bad x factor audition in places.

weeping It's like a slow motion car crash, in fact it actually really sad and what's worse is 'they' will tell her it was an epic performance.

She's the only act I've watched from Glastonbury this year ('cos O/H wanted to see her). I wish I hadn't bothered, she's absolutely terrible.

Years and Years had an eye-popping stage show.

Again, probably not to everyone's taste, but if pop is meant to annoy the Daily Mail; I think Olly suceeded.

Probably not the target market for his act being a heterosexual red blooded manly man but his act is a bit creepy. I'm struggling to work out who his market is.

Diana Ross must have told them she could still sing, the old girl wouldn't even get a gig a Glastonbudget

Declan McKenna on the other stage has been great, and I enjoyed Herbie Hancock on the Pyramid too.

I think Years and Years show was certainly in the vicinity of creepy. And I'm a fan of Olly, and gay.
Sam Fender played a blinder, and has immense boyish charm was a better show. With zero gimmicks.

He's a good performer, but I thought similar. I only know him from "It's a Sin".

I'm watching Pet Shop Boys. The sound through 6Music on "BBC Sounds" is better than through Iplayer (via my Laptop and home office 2.1 amp system) -so I'm using Sounds for the sounds
